WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- As the Lead Data Analyst for Enterprise Data & Analytics team, you’ll be responsible for delivering Data Foundations, BI & Advanced Analytics solutions and capability to enterprise teams and business users.
- Primary role of LDA would be to help demystify data for Product/Engineering and help provide the context that is essential to build a high-fidelity data solution for Nike.
- A Lead Data Analyst comes with strong hands-on expertise in working with large amounts of data and being able to navigate the complexity of bringing structure and method to understanding functional use case for the same. This in turn would help inform Product & Engineering on the course of action to develop sound data products.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Serve as a liaison between product, engineering & data consumers by analyzing the data, finding gaps and help drive roadmap
- Support and troubleshoot issues (data & process), identify root cause, and proactively recommend sustainable corrective actions by collaborating with engineering/product teams
- Communicate actionable insights using data, often for the stakeholders and non-technical audience.
- Ability to write technical specifications describing requirements for data movement,
- transformation & quality checks
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
In this role, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams across Enterprise Data & Analytics. You will work closely with stakeholder groups across the geography to identify and solve their business problems.
You We’re looking for someone who has a proven track record of being able to navigate through complex product landscape and having delivered successful data products. To that effect, we are looking for someone with these skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, other quantitative disciplines, or related fields
- 8+ years of relevant analytical experiences that can translate into defining strategic vision into requirements and working with the best engineers, product managers, and data scientists
- Prior experience working with complex data landscape, preferably in an enterprise setting
- Ability to conduct data analysis, develop and test hypothesis and deliver insights with minimal supervision
- Experience identifying and define KPI’s and cohorts for apps, traffic, user retention
- Exceptional SQL skills
- Experience with modern visualization tool stack, such as: Kibana, Tableau, Power BI, d3js
- Hands-on experience working with streaming data sources such as Kafka, Kinesis
- Experience with open-source, big data and cloud infrastructure such as AWS
- Experience writing detailed technical specifications describing requirements for data movement, transformation, storage, quality checks, and access latency
- Incredible attention to detail, with structured problem-solving approach
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with clickstream data
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- High proficiency in data transformation and BI tools
- Experience with retail or ecommerce domains is preferred
