Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for an experience data engineer/architect to build and manage the WD+C Workplace Intelligence data foundation ecosystem! This data engineer will be responsible for collecting business requirements to ingest, transform, and deliver consolidated, certified data sets to deliver insights and will manage the Global Data roadmap, ensuring WD+C Workplace Location and Workplace Experience data are identified, prioritized, and consumed properly across all functions and geographies.
The ideal candidate needs to:
- Experience working on and maintain large scale data lakes/warehouses
- Expertise in Data Governance, controls, and processes
- General technical/data competence that can extend to multiple disciplines (i.e. Portfolio/Occupancy Planning, Real Estate, FCS)
- Have a demonstrated ability to develop deep understanding of Strategic Occupancy Planning & Real Estate
- Corporate Real Estate & Occupancy Planning Data Management
- Experience in defining/measuring Workplace environments
What you will work on
If this is you, you’ll be working with the global data and analytics team located in Portland, Oregon. You will be partnering with teams in Beaverton, Shanghai, and Amsterdam. Primary tasks include:
- Translating business needs into functional code
- Feature development on existing data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Creating new data pipelines and working with third party APIs
- Maintaining existing data pipelines
- Curating analytic consumption layers
- Code repository management
- Creating and maintaining documentation
- Training business users on how to use consumption layers
Who you will work with
This role reports to the Data + Analytics Manager at WD+C Workplace Intelligence. You will work closely with teammates throughout the WD+C Geographies, members of the WD+C Territory Directors, Functions owners, and Strategic Partners, as well as a variety of other Nike team members! This role does not have any direct reports.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other relevant areas or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
- 5+ years professional experience required. 2+ years of experience with a technology-based role specifically required
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting data warehouses
- Demonstrable experience coordinating all elements of the data ecosystem development lifecycle
- Knowledge of information systems and analytics infrastructure
- Understanding of master data management and data governance
- Outstanding project management and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environment preferred
- A consistent record of collaborating and influencing in a highly-matrixed organization across a variety of internal and external partners
- Highly developed communication skills – in verbal, written and graphic forms

- Snowflake administration and development (roles, stored procedures, views, etc.)
