WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Vulnerability Management Analyst. This role is part of the Corporate Information Security (CIS) Cyber Defense – Vulnerability Management Team, that participates in the attack surface reduction of global computing assets through the identification and assessment of vulnerabilities. The Vulnerability Management Analyst is responsible for analysis of the data generated by the vulnerability management solutions, coordination with external partners regarding their patching program effectiveness and completion of day-to-day tasks associated with vulnerability management program.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

  • Review security vulnerabilities across a variety of technologies and environments to determine high risk vulnerabilities to business assets
  • Provide advice and guidance on the mitigation of risks associated with vulnerabilities and non-compliance with Corporate Security Standards liaising with partner teams
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, assessing newly identified vulnerabilities and the impact on the enterprise and communicate to respective partners
  • Manage the life cycle of security vulnerabilities, from discovery to validation and remediation
  • Schedule and perform reoccurring scanning activities of both corporate and cloud environments using enterprise platform
  • Work with other CIS organizations such as Governance, Risk and Threat Intelligence to report on program status and coordinate risk tracking

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

This role is part of the Attack Surface Management team within Corporate Information Security.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study, or any combination of relevant equivalent experience, education and training.
  • 2+ years of IT professional experience
  • Understanding of a variety of technical concepts such as: Networking, systems administration, application development, cloud computing and information security best practices
  • Vulnerability management tool experience such as Tenable, Rapid7, or Qualys
  • Experience with data analytics with the ability to provide qualitative analysis and recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and/or project management skills
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with a variety of other enabling teams
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis
  • Self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity

Preferred Experience

  • Beginner to intermediate in a scripting language (Python, PowerShell, SQL, etc.)
  • Working in large scale environments with diverse technologies
  • Endpoint operating systems (Windows, Linux and MacOS)
  • Server operating systems (Windows, Linux/UNIX Servers)
  • Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Remote work option- open to remote work except cannot work in the following locations: SD, VT and WV. These candidates will be required to relocate. For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $86,000 per year. Information about benefits
