We are seeking a Senior Analyst Business Optimization to join our team at the Nissan North Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN.
Job Summary:
Serve as a strategic contributor for partnerships and proofs of concept related to new and innovative revenue streams, relevant new technologies, next-gen customer experience tools, and other strategic opportunities through research, opinion development, data analysis, and preparation of executive presentation materials. Develop constructive working relationships with Nissan and Alliance functions across the region and abroad, including NNA-HQ, NMEX, NCI, NTCNA, Silicon Valley Research Center, other Nissan regions, and Alliance partners.
Ensure that ideas are shared, efforts are coordinated, and proposals are commercially actionable. Serve as an essential conduit across the organization.
Support the creation of a clear vision of the medium- and long-term future of personal mobility and quantify the impact of the evolution of ‘mobility’ on NNA’s Mid-Term Plan Actively engage in executive-level external relationships with investors, startups, analysts, consultants, and researchers to provide data, analytics, and insights regarding economic and industry trends as well as new business opportunities.
Develop best practices to foster, manage and track both internal and external opportunities Evaluate the economics and strategic cost-benefits of partnerships, proofs of concept and future business models.
Identify relevant sources of information concerning new business opportunities and share such information with impacted executives or functions to improve awareness of external business factors and opinions.
Build and socialize a network of internal and external contacts relevant to the identification and adaptation of new business opportunities, including all three MC-NA countries and SVRC.
Support preparation of executive level presentations concerning the activities listed above to various functions and stakeholders at Nissan locations throughout the North American region and identify measurable links to midterm plan tactics and financial goals Participate in the development of the MC-NA Mid-Term Plan and support Corporate Planning activities such as seminar preparation and special studies Support the development, launch, and management of a cross-functional strategic innovation initiative.
Connect functional innovation initiatives internally with MTP objectives, and externally with startup incubators, venture capital analysts, and research labs to facilitate further development and testing of new ideas.
Coordinate annual submission and periodic forecast updates for the Business Development & Strategy department. Organize and manage presentation materials and records of company contacts using existing and/or new business tools (ex. – Startup Flow, Slack, Nissan shared server, etc.).

Job Knowledge and Skill:
Candidate must possess a broad and in-depth understanding of the automotive industry planning processes as well as the ability to instill confidence and credibility in senior management regarding strategy and plans.
High visibility/exposure role supporting activities that require cross function/cross region collaboration, to optimize the business for Nissan in North America bringing the sustainable improvements required to support Nissan NEXT Activity Leadership
Working with the Business Leaders / Functions to optimize Fixed Cost by proposing improvement opportunities and to ensure they are implemented on a timely basis
Main scope of study is within G+A, but could support/challenge other areas of the business
Perform special projects requiring high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity
Engage in internal process and systems improvements by brainstorming, developing, and/or implementing new techniques to address demands within various parts of the business. Performs special projects as needed, including participation in/leadership of cross-functional teams.
Work cross-functionally with other areas of the business (including, but not limited to, Finance, M&S, Manufacturing, etc.), coordinating and leading activities in support of achieving key regional initiatives and objectives.
Position involves influencing workgroups to successful conclusions. The following traits/skills are required:
Problem Solving/Process Improvement: Candidate must possess the proven ability to think analytically and to apply advanced problem solving techniques to realize quantifiable results.
Effective Communicator: Advanced interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, including executive management, is critical.
Executive meeting preparations: Consolidating presentation materials, ensuring information is accurate, consistent, and in proper order for sharing with local and global executive management.
Team support: Supports requests from team members for data creation, data confirmation, status updates, and other activities as required.
Customer Advocate: Candidate should have a customer focus and a clear understanding that customer (both internal and external) needs are the essential driver of a successful project.
Change Agent: Candidate should have demonstrated performance as a leader of change, regardless of position or function; be willing to challenge the status quo; be able to handle resistance to change and engender support for change in others. Should also possess ability to initiate and develop avenues to implement changes and recommendations into a process not under candidate’s direct control.
Project Management: Candidate should have managed a project and demonstrated good project management and organizational skills. V-up and/or Six Sigma training and experience preferred.
Minimum Experience:
5 or more years of relevant professional experience in automotive, tech, or related industries. Interaction or direct experience in multiple functional areas preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
