The Data Management Analyst position is focused on data and reporting efforts in support of the Workers Compensation Claims (WCC) and WC Legal business units. Individuals within this role maintain knowledge of business processes, regulatory issues and technology systems and are readily identified as department Subject Matter Experts for data and reporting projects.

These individuals have demonstrated an understanding of departmental data sources and associated business processes, assist in troubleshooting data and reporting related production issues and have experience identifying and remediating data quality issues.

Participates in data requirement elicitation, analysis, mapping and testing activities for department’s business technology solutions. Provide insights and present data in a way in which others in the business unit can consume.

Collaborate with company-wide analysts to ensure effective decision making related to data projects.

Serve as a data management advocate within the business unit as well as at an enterprise level. Create ad-hoc queries to support one time data requests. Troubleshoots data and reporting related production issues.

Identifies testing defects and issues.

Promote compliance of data and reporting directives through education and awareness efforts.

Assists the department by creating or modifying dashboards which identify current and future state trends including increases or decreases in frequency or severity in a repeatable format.

1+ years using business intelligence tools (Power BI, SSRS, SAS, Excel). Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries.

Must have the ability to work in a team setting as well as independently to achieve goals.

Bachelor’s degree in related field (Statistics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
