Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to join the Space Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Dulles, VA.
2023 Initiatives The Candidate Could Participate In Include, But Not Limited To
The ideal candidate would be someone interested in data analytics, user experience, operations, systems engineering or related field. In this role, they will work with senior leaders in the organization to drive innovation and digital transformation into our operational practices. They will gain experience in using Agile project management techniques, and will leverage Lean Six Sigma practices to help stream line and automate processes. Experience working with databases or SharePoint administration is a plus.
- Process Mapping Division processes for migration into an interactive SharePoint Framework
- Mapping process-related artifacts into an Access Database tool
- Standing up a collaborative database space for managing control account manager assignments and automating training initiation
- Building out analytic capabilities, and improved UX, for Power BI based action tracking tool
Basic Qualifications:
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2023
- Be majoring in a related STEM degree.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2023
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Ability to perform structural engineering tasks associated with analysis, design, and/or testing of structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher
Intern Pay Range for Dulles, VA
Bachelor’s: $24.00 to $30.50 per hour
Master’s: $36.00 to $38.25 per hour
At Northrop Grumman our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
