Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst – SharePoint Administrator (level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Palmdale, Ca.

The SharePoint Administrator will develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company’s system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint infrastructure
  • Create SharePoint sites/sub-sites layouts with user interfaces using best practices
  • Monitor SharePoint disk space usage through the SharePoint reports for each site collection
  • Analyzing and reporting upon SharePoint usage and activity
  • Moving/copying sites
  • Maintain permissions, and support multiple SharePoint users and projects
  • Regular review of events, messages reported, and monitor performance
  • Regular review, clean-up, management and configurations of SharePoint accounts and sites
  • Setting up alerts and enforcing policies
  • Identify and report governance violations
  • Checking for operating system and SharePoint patches including cumulative updates.
  • Facilitate the Integration of data to SharePoint for collaboration from various sources
  • Monitor SharePoint site usage and growth and disk space usage and growth.
  • Ensure SharePoint data integrity and system availability
  • Innovate alternative approaches to achieve user requested features
  • Participate in new installations, testing and special projects – Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers and end-users

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 2 yrs. or more of SharePoint experience; Masters degree and three years of relevant experience. In lieu of formal education, six years of relevant job experience may be considered
  • Experience in SharePoint/Administration
  • Experience with SharePoint Security group maintenance and user support
  • Have the ability to maintain CompTIA Security+ CE certification
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.
  • Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90+ days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance.
  • Has the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer custom workflows
  • Experience with OOTB workflows
  • Experience with OOTB web parts
  • Experience with .NET/SQL
  • Demonstrated understanding of Program Logic and Design for any related development Language (SQL/VBA/Python)
  • Familiar with Windows Server and Desktop versions
  • Familiar with Active Directory/DNS
  • Familiar with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter

Salary Range: $77,100 USD – $115,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
