Manages the full asset lifecycle of engineering software and related engineering software contracts. Maintains and manages software license information and updates in the AMDB. Works with Manager, IT Procurement in the development of enterprise-wide engineering software purchasing standards and procedures. Creates and manages enterprise-wide asset management systems and serves as liaison to the Engineering Pools, Sectors, Finance and Legal departments as it relates to the functions of the position. Ensures corporate and legal guidelines are followed for managing engineering software assets. Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of asset management systems for all assets, especially around engineering software. Provides support to the Sectors and Finance department by providing and analyzing license consumption and usage information. Defines requirements for asset acquisition and procedures to include management and uplift strategies for the enterprise. Responsible for asset budget preparation, coordinates with IT Procurement on receipt of purchase orders, invoice processing and reconciles changes in inventory. Experience required includes extensive asset and financial management.
This position will be virtual and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States.
Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience (will consider additional experience in lieu of education, Associates Degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 10 years of relevant experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience with Software Asset Management.
  • Ability to manage, maintain, and track software asset data and maintenance throughout the asset lifecycle in the Asset Management Database.
  • Understand, track, and report the optimization of licenses.
  • Ability to act with speed and agility.
  • Ability to interpret and understand license grants, terms and conditions, and metrics to track license usage and software compliancy.
  • Interpret data to support audits or software compliancy.
  • Ability to team with cross functional service lines (Engineering Teams, Sectors, Application Services, Global Supply Chain) to meet requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify potential areas of concern.
  • Understand data and present to senior management for strategic decisions on software procurement, risk, agreements, and licensing.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite.
  • Concurrent license management using FlexLM enabled servers.
  • Familiarity with identifying peak usages on concurrent licenses.
  • Prefer candidates with security clearance.

Salary Range: $76,200.00 – $114,400.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
