Job Location: Miami, FL
BASIC PURPOSE: Manage and support ideas and projects through initiation, analysis, execution and implementation phases. Interface with key stakeholders and team members from business and IT to translate and analyze business requirements and then identify, recommend and help in deployment of viable solutions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document system requirements including integration between multiple systems, define scope and objectives, and assist in the creation of system specifications that drive system development and implementation.
- Help design, document and maintain systems and processes.
- Evaluate user requests for system automation to determine feasibility and technical requirements. Facilitate meetings and workshops that involve eliciting business requirements and liaising with users.
- Work with business and IT Team members to map existing processes and design improved ones.
- Assess and analyze existing processes and data to identify improvement opportunities and present findings to stakeholders for discussion.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define, design, and implement software solutions.
- Conduct cost benefit analysis and build business case to seek financial approval for solution implementation.
- Assist QA with testing scripts and understanding of the functionality to be tested.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field of study or any equivalent combination of experience and skills and/or 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in business process design or requirement, gathering and translating business requirements for development, using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies, experience as Business Analyst with technical skills, and/or highly skilled user of reservations application used within the enterprise. Travel or hospitality web/reservation system experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written. Proven problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking abilities. Understanding of Business Analytics and the metrics that drive management decisions, and the ability to build reports and queries to support such metrics. Ability to produce deliverables related to stakeholder analysis, functional requirements and scope statements, wireframes, process flows, data flow diagrams, test plan and test cases, communication plan. Skilled in use of Microsoft Office applications with special emphasis on Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint and SQL Management Studio. Comprehensive knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Jira Experience preferred but not required. Working knowledge of relational databases.
