About the department
Supply Chain was established in March 2017 as part of Product Supply Devices & Supply Chain Management business plan towards 2020. The Business plan has three parts; Robust, Ready, Effective and Supply Chain Global Business Services (GBS) is part of the last one focusing business through offshoring. The unit is anchored under Supply Chain in Head Quarter and is the agreed place to consolidate Supply Chain activities across Novo Nordisk. The Supply Chain offshoring journey has started in D&S, Service Delivery Catalogue is taking form and other areas within Product Supply can soon join or add to the Catalogue to optimise costs and reduce complexity by operating an effective supply chain.
The position
As a supply planner, your overall responsibility is to prioritize, execute and coordinate purchase orders from consuming departments/manufacturing sites to ensure items are available in stock when needed. Follow-up, maintain and implement item-specific stock-levels, investigate item specific stock-situation where required and ensure correct inventory data at all times.
Your will be responsible for stakeholder management, communicate effectively with consuming departments and planners to incorporate latest production plans into sourcing/purchase plans. Pro-actively secure exchange of information on item availability between production and purchasing to agree on mitigating actions before any potential crisis. Communicate effectively with suppliers to incorporate latest delivery plans into production plans. Ensure date in purchasing systems is correct and updated at all times. Engage with stakeholders to ensure systems are operational and running, systematic problem solving to find root cause and implement corrective actions. Identify and execute on improvement initiatives
Qualifications
We are expecting you to hold the below skills and knowledge:
- Masters/Bachelors within supply chain management, production or mechanical (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute
- Good academic track record and grades
- Have been working with planning and support function for at least 6 – 8 years
- Ability to work on offshored planning processes
- Ability to analyse and process the data
- Good understanding of supply chain concepts (Plan, Make, Source, Deliver and Return and the supporting master data)
- Experience user of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SAP ECC/R3 experience within Supply Chain is a must
- Demonstrate capability to take ownership and accountability of deliverables assigned
- High capability within stakeholder management and high collaboration skills across cultures
- High quality mind-set, logical thinking and ability to finalise actions/tasks within deadline
- Ability to handle many tasks simultaneous
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
