About The Role
Testing a tightly-coupled closed-loop Behavior (prediction and planning) system is a core challenge of our industry today. In the complex urban environments that our robots operate in, slight changes in behavior can completely change how the scenario unfolds.
In this highly impactful role, you will collaborate with a best-in-class team of machine learning, robotics, and infrastructure engineers to design and deploy ML models that capture the diverse behavior of other road users in order to improve the realism of our simulator.
About The Work
- Design efficient and scalable ML models to control the behavior of vulnerable actors like pedestrians and cyclists.
- Work on multi-modal and conditional trajectory prediction models.
- Develop methods to condition trajectory prediction models to ensure prediction diversity and realism.
- Collaborate with autonomy and simulation teams to integrate and deploy new ML models for improving evaluation of the Nurobot in simulation.
About You
- You are pursuing a PhD or MS in computer science or related field
- Strong problem solving and python programming skills
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks (tensorflow preferred)
- You have experience working in one or more of the following areas: graph neural networks, LLMs, GMMs, diffusion models, and CVAE.
Bonus Points
- Experience developing trajectory prediction models
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art generative modeling approaches
- Experience working in robotics or AV applications
- Research experience with publications in major conferences
For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $11,500 and $14,000/month. Your actual base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
