NVIDIA is looking for a talented Cloud Platform, DevOps software engineer intern who can think out of the box, see the big picture, and be diligent to help redefine where GPU-based Cloud service is headed. This essential role gives you an unrivaled opportunity to develop and deliver a new class of GPU accelerated Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) in the fields of Deep Learning and AI focusing on Computer Vision tasks. We expect you to have strong knowledge with cloud-based deployments across compute, storage, and networking environments. You should also be familiar with open source technologies that can assist with cloud deployments and recommend approaches to the larger engineering teams in order to expedite implementation for our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, plan, and implement SaaS for the GPU cloud services on AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud.
- Help drive the underlying technology stack and implementation methodology.
- Work closely with partners, stakeholders, UX and UI designers and front-end engineers on new products or features/improvements of existing products.
- Obsessed with modules and/or product(s) consistency across the teams.
- Nuts for test-driven development practices, help drive test automation, and CI/CD.
What We Need To See
- Pursuing MS/PhD in Science or Engineering majors with demonstrated hands-on experience building microservices, deploying SaaS.
- Deep understanding of HTTP REST API, gRPC, security, and networking. Good understanding of API design as results of UX/UI/CLI requirements.
- Experience with backend systems and software engineering
- Strong ability to debug issues and get to the root cause to improve the stack, while working closely with partners and team members such as DevSecOps, and SRE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent team player.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd
- Experience building and shipping services around Kubernetes, Cloud Native, and Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure.)
- Fluent with a scripting language, such as Shell, Python, Golang, Ruby.
- Fluent in C/C++ and CUDA
- Ability to work independently, prioritizes existing projects, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance
- Excel working in a dynamic, highly interactive environment. Drive to succeed as a team.

The hourly rate for our interns is $19 – $93. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
