Business Operations Analyst Intern, Operational Excellence (Remote)
Summary
The engagement will be a remote, part-time (with a flexible schedule), six-month program starting in October, 2022.
The NWEA Operational Excellence (OpEx) team supports organizational performance through operational planning, continuous improvement, lean six sigma, and CAPA. The OpEx Business Operations Analyst Intern will support our Continuous Improvement program by creating efficiency metrics for teams across the organization. The right intern can engage and communicate with senior leaders and values the relationship between internal performance and service to our partners. We expect the work of this Intern will culminate in an executive presentation of the completed work.
The Intern will be assigned a manager and mentor to guide their experience. This opportunity will provide the Intern the ability to work with Operational and Delivery Managers across disciplines in the company, include leaders in our Content, Sales, Engineering, Professional Learning, and other deliver teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document existing data pertaining to desired outputs and outcomes for each team
- Interview leaders and practitioners across all areas of the organization to validate data
- Coordinate with internal specialists to build a visual dashboard

Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint

Education and Experience
- Previous job-related experience in a technology environment a plus
- Previous experience developing performance metrics and KPI’s a plus
- Current student in business, operations management, operational excellence, process engineering or related fields
