Job Description
The Office of Ambulatory Care and Population Health at NYC Health + Hospitals has a broad portfolio encompassing ambulatory care transformation, development of innovative care models, and population health analytics. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detailed project management/data analyst to collaborate on innovative analytics and health improvement for our patients. The Project Management/Data Analyst will be joining the Data Core, an established team of analysts, epidemiologists and data enthusiasts providing opportunities for collaboration, mentorship and growth.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Core portfolio spans risk targeting, access to care, chronic disease, depression, care management, homelessness and post incarceration care models and pediatrics. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Healthcare Analytics, this Clinical Business Analyst will be responsible for the following across the Data Core portfolio:
- Assisting in all aspects of the Data Core project life cycle including planning, scope definition, design, execution and communication.
- Convening an annual strategic planning process and assuming responsibility for continuous monitoring and communication around team goals established therein
- Supporting the Assistant Vice President with project management and coordination to promote the success of the Data Core programs, identifying and filling in gaps as needed to move high priority projects forward.
- Overseeing Data Core resources including clinical measure definitions, internal website, and staff onboarding process and materials.
- Manage dashboard publication checklist inventory and processes.
- Provide status reporting to the AVP regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Coordinate with teams across NYC Health + Hospitals on measure development and documentation.
- Other related duties as directed, which will depend on candidate interests as well as team needs. This could include creating Tableau visualizations, analyzing population health data, collaborating on research or communicating insights key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience gathering and documenting business, clinical, and/or functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis or related in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one (1) year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience as described above; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one (1) year.
Department Preferences
- Relevant experience in project management, with a track record of managing projects from conceptualization to scale
- Ability to complete work independently with broadly defined work objectives
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in NYC government and/or public health entities/hospitals/community-based organizations a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63,926.00 – $95,000.00 per year
