Job Description

Job Summary

The Junior Project Coordinator within the EITS Governance and Project Management Office is a management-support associate responsible for project coordination, administration and support. Under the direction of multiple Program Managers or the Project Director, they will oversee the coordination, completion of project tasks and monitor adherence to perpetual project management process standards. The EITS Governance and Project Management Office will rely on the Junior Project Coordinator to follow up on due dates, open items, track issues, meeting minutes, update project plans, upload project artifacts on SharePoint, update project work notes in ServcieNow etc. They apply their knowledge of the best practices for project coordination and administration to their key duties, including note taking, resource allocation, task planning and progress reporting. Candidate must be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. He / She must also be detail oriented and build trust through consistent work product delivery and reliable relationships.

General Tasks And Responsibilities Will Include

  • In the absence of a Program Manager or the Project Director, Junior Project Coordinators may monitor work efforts, assign resources, delegate tasks and report progress to senior managers and various stakeholders.
  • Supports EITS Governance and Project Management Office and documents project-related assignments, issues and risks.
  • Junior Project Coordinator should be technically astute and assist with creating reports and presentations using a variety of office productivity tools.
  • Junior Project Coordinator should aim to improve project administration processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
  • Support the Project Management Team by providing prompt and thorough meeting notes, status reports, and other key documentation.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Program Manager or the Project Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Baccalaureate Degree or clinical degree from an accredited college or university; or
  • An Associates Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience analyzing and transforming information into business, clinical, and/or functional requirements in clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or
  • A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.

Department Preferences

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 Year of relevant experience
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with the Agile Method is desirable but, not required
  • Prior experience in Healthcare, particularly in a Hospital Acute Care Setting is desirable but not required
  • Project Management tools, i.e. MS project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio
