Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Data Analyst – **Cancer Center**.

In this role, the successful candidate, through a matrix reporting relationship, will assist the Perlmutter Cancer Centers (PCC) Manager of Analytics and Director of Gynecologic Oncology by executing clinical and operational analyses and decision support activities including recording, analyzing and reporting clinical and operations-related information, analyzing information utilizing project management techniques and the application of mathematical or statistical methods


Job Responsibilities:

    • Performs data analysis for service and institutional databases and some research projects and develops/manages databases.
    • Generates reports and deliver to all necessary parties on the progress of operations, patient volume and clinical outcomes.
    • Conducts regular quality assurance checks of the data to ensure its accuracy and integrity.
    • Help with development and automation of data capture for dashboard creation
    • Interpret and organize clinical oncology data
    • Assists in updating PCC RVUs, MD utilization, Outcome measures, UHC data, and various other ad hoc operational analyses. Provides written analytical insight and summaries as needed.
    • Assists with data manipulation/loads using sql, python, and tableau for volume, clinical analyses, financial analyses, patient registries, and other ad hoc data analyses. Provides automated solutions to enhance efficiency where applicable.
    • Collaborates with PCC clinical and operations leaders in the development of ad hoc analyses to help improve operations overall. This could include supporting the implementation of scorecards/dashboards for individual departments as necessary.
    • Transforms/interprets operations reports and requirements into actionable insights for the PCC Management team.
    • Assists with coordination and preparation of data collection for various clinical analyses with a focus on GYN Oncology, to support clinical initiatives of the PCC overall.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must comply with regulatory requirements appropriate for position.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients. Capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
Has a good grasp of Medical terminology and an interest in science and medicine
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel.
Must be able to generate moderately complex reports and multimedia presentations.
Advanced analytic skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis.
Minimum one year of analytics and/or data management related experience.

Bachelors Degree in a Business or Health Related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

Four years of analytics/data management related experience.

Masters Degree in healthcare or business
