Job title – Manager, HR Analytics
The Manager – HR Analytics is responsible for the development and delivery of cross-functional HR data and process analytics, HR data and compliance auditing, and HR systems design, configuration, and implementation. This role independently develops business requirements, analyzes data, builds data models, and serves as an internal data consultant to the HR stakeholders in support of broader business strategy development and decision making.
What youโll do for us
- Build the HR advisory capability to business by developing robust HR analytics and insights for HRBP
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitorsโ practices, and other sources.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
- Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
- Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
- May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
- Analyze data flows and programs for process improvements opportunities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality information, professional demeanor under pressure and effectively work with employees at all levels.
- Working with key management members to identify automation or report enhancement opportunities (including alternative approaches to data visualization) and data process streamlining.
- Providing architectural guidance and solution engineering in support of Human Resource data reporting automation and enhancements
- Lead and develop team members in the areas of dashboards, scorecards, predictive analytics and machine learning in order to grow their capabilities and progress our analytics delivery
- Assisting in the design, development, testing and implementation of new or modified systems to meet changing requirements.
- Learn and monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data capabilities.
- The ideal candidate is a team player, a quick learner, self-motivated/self-starter, detailed oriented and determined.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What youโll have
- Strong MS Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and other advanced Excel functions and formulas).
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organizationโs HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
- Deep technical hands-on experience in data analytics, including the demonstrated ability to translate results of analyses into data-driven insights to ensure key messages resonate with the target audience.
- Working knowledge of BI tools such as Microstrategy and Tableau.
- Prior experience in data modelling to support creation of advanced analytics, BI toolsets, and automated reporting.
- Strong project management, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong business relationships with internal customers and external agencies, as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to perform well under pressure while performing multiple tasks.
- Unquestioned ethics and integrity; ability to uphold the highest level of professional standards.
Education and Experience:
- Masters in Business Analytics, Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of analytics experience with functional knowledge of HR processes, systems, and functions and analytics.
