Role
- Collaborate with technical product manager to define the analytics tools and specifications needed to produce effective data visualizations
- Work closely with Business analysts, understand the design specifications, and translate the requirements into a Power BI Report, Applications, or any other similar reporting solution
Job Responsibilities
- Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
- Analyze data models, data relationships, and dependencies for greatest optimization
- Design and developed stored procedures, queries, and views necessary to support SSRS/Power BI reports
- Extend client data with third-party sources of information when needed
- Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications
- Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop
- Connect data sources, import and transform data for Business intelligence
- Write SQL, DAX queries to develop data source for POWERBI Dashboards and unit test reports
- Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards
Desired Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Datawarehouse modelling techniques, SQL queries and data mining
- A good understanding of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Power BI report solutions
- Ability to create KPIs, visualizations, reports and dashboards based on business requirement
- Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis
- Be able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
- Proficiency in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
- Expertise in using advance level calculations on data sets
- Insurance Industry experience is preferred
- Good knowledge in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory
- Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
Desired Business Skills
- Property and Casualty Insurance experience strongly preferred
- Well-versed in software processes and methodologies
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A quick learner with a strong analytical mindset
Education
- A full-time Bachelors’/Masters’ Degree from a recognized university
Experience
- 3+ years of industry experience with 3+ Years in the role of BI Developer
