As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the OptumCare Unified Datamart working together with business analysts and developers. You’ll interact with senior leadership with a focus on performance to achieve business objectives. This is where your bold ideas will write the next chapter in health care.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with Data Modeling tools such as ERWIN
- Works closely with development and business intelligence tea
- Design tables, views and stored procedures in SQL Server
- Design tables, views and stored procedures in Snowflake
- Create and support SSIS packages for smaller projects
- Comply with standards and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing, and deployment activities as established by departmental and organizational standards
- Work with business analysts/database administrators and support project planning, technical design, development, and solution deployment functions
- Identify opportunities in business processes, system capabilities, and delivery methodologies for continuous improvement
- Change management including maintenance of multiple development, test, QA, and production environments. Responsible for deploying approved changes to production
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation about the database and the data architecture.
- Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures, in line with corporate objectives

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures with relational databases
- 4+ experience in IT systems analysis, data analysis, software design, or a combination of roles within SDLC
- Familiar with cloud computing and has experience with Snowflake store procedures, task scheduling and java scripts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate collaborative skills working within a project team of diverse skills
- Communication skills including oral, written, and presentation
- Creativity and problem-solving skills

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
