Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize raw data
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Interpret trends and patterns
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Eligibility

- Minimum 12 months in the current role
- Not on Active CAP at the time of applying for the IJP
- Employees designated currently on SG27/SG28 can apply for this position
- Grade movement will be as per IJP policy
- Employees must notify their Current Manager before applying for the IJP
- Last Common Review rating should be Meeting Expectations or Exceeding Expectations
- Employee should not have availed Onshore opportunity within last 6 months
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field
- 5+ years of ETL design
- 5+ years of experience in building data pipeline
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- 5+ years of experience with Spark/Databricks or another distributed computing framework (Beam, etc)
- 3+ years of experience working with Python
- 2+ years in Streaming platform (Kafka preferred)
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Hands-on experience on Databricks, Kafka skills
- Hands-on experience with NoSql and SQL database design
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python)
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with Azure cloud services: Databricks etc
- Experience with stream-processing systems, Spark-Streaming, etc.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores
- Successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
- Great numerical and analytical skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Data engineering certification (Azure Databricks)
