The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role at Prospero. You will support product owners and platform leaders with agile processes, operating in a scrum team. Additionally, you will conduct organizational research and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement analyses, and prepare IT operational and system guides to assist IT management in operating more efficiently and effectively. You will serve as a project lead as assigned. You will perform these essential tasks in support of our engagement, care support, and patient care functional areas. The engagement function is the first contact many of our prospective patients have with us as we work to introduce them to the value that we can add to their overall healthcare experience. The care support team is responsible for supporting our clinicians and patients in the field by supporting documentation completion as appropriate, managing referral requests, and coordinating care as needed for the patient.
The clinical team is geographically spread out across the United States and is responsible for the in home and telephonic care that we provide to the seriously ill. Enabling the work of these teams means ensuring our patients are empowered to live their best life now.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the collection, capture, and management of user needs from prioritization, concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment as a business analyst subject matter expert
- Work with the product owner and users to determine the operational objectives of business needs and elicit requirements, facilitating the gathering of business-focused requirements inclusive of defining the backlog and ensuring the user’s perspective is considered
- Gather and document project requirements in features and user stories for multi-disciplinary teams and define the business-driven acceptance criteria
- Perform UAT of user stories to validate acceptance criteria has been met
- Collaborate on IT Quick Guides and training materials as needed
- Perform training for existing and new staff as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful functioning of implemented systems or procedures
- Facilitate various Agile processes, such as Release Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Sprint Review, Daily Stand-up, as needed
- Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional area(s) to the assigned Scrum team
- Gather and organize information on any identified problems and perform root cause analysis for review by product owners and/or senior leaders
- Review business processes or procedures and confer with management and users about purpose, identifying problems, and potential or planned improvements
- Design, evaluate, recommend, and approve changes of business processes or procedures aligned to system functionality
- Serve as a project lead on product specific needs as assigned
- Build trusting and sustainable relationships, displaying compassion and empathy when engaging teammates and customers/family/care givers
- Attend/participate in educational/training activities to improve knowledge and performance level
- Meet individual and team qualitative and quantitative targets

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a technology focused Business / Systems Analyst
- 1+ years of experience using Salesforce to develop client or business solutions
- 1+ years of experience creating technology documentation such as:
- Process Flows
- User Guides
- Project Plans
- Acceptance Criteria
- Testing Instructions / User Acceptance Testing
- Hands on experience configuring Salesforce including workflows, objects, validation rules, and controls
- Proven experience eliciting business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders and other business leaders
- Experience using agile methodologies Scrum and/or Kanban
- Experience writing features and user stories in Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Experience testing features and user stories when development is completed
- Experience providing IT support to non-technical business users and resolve issues
- Knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in IT / Computer Science
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience using the following technologies within Salesforce:
- Health Cloud
- Youreka
- S-Docs
- Experience serving as a technology project lead
- Experience using business technology applications (Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote Teams, SharePoint, Visio, SnagIt)
- Experience managing vendor or external software project implementations
- Solid written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new business needs and technologies
- Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to change

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
