Role & Responsibilities :
- Implement high performing, scalable solutions and analytics using Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies .
- Develop dashboard visualizations, create comprehensive datasets for self service Power BI.
- Build Work in Azure environment with latest technologies. Work with data bricks and create datasets.
- Create visualization templates, dashboards, data patterns that can be deployed across multiple domains and environments, ensuring operability.
- Perform Unit Testing, Integration testing and ensure quality of the builds developed.
- Perform code reviews, provide feedback and coach and mentor other team members in Power BI
- Develop auxiliary programs and services to connect applications and functions.
- Manage software releases and verifying deployed code compatibility with new software versions.
- Create and manage data stores at scale.
- Ensure data governance – security, quality, access and compliance
- Work collaboratively with team members including product managers, solution architects, client users and other BI developers.
- Clearly communicate technical details to business and translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Create design document, coding standards, publishing standards, security and access policies.
- Able to work creatively and analytically in a fast-paced problem-solving environment
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI
- 5+ year’s experience working, including understanding of multiple database types – SQL, No SQL
- 3+ years implementing application security layer models, develop tabular and multidimensional models, Performance improvement of reports, Row level security, etc.
- 3+ years working in Azure environment
- Experience in Essbase and MDX scripts, building APIs
- Knowledge of the following to facilitate the development of custom visuals:
- Dashboards, TypeScript development tools, D3 JavaScript libraries, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python
- Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics concepts including:
- extract, transform, load (ETL); Data warehousing, data stores, data governance, data visualization, self-service BI and descriptive analytics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Even Better :
- Healthcare business knowledge and experience working with US Health care data
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
- Working with Databricks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.
- Good understanding of SDLC processes, Agile methodologies
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge on Predictive and Prescriptive analytics.
- Able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
