Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organizations financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.

The OCI Problem Management (PbM) team works in close partnership with OCI Incident Management, Support and Product/Service teams to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, to eliminate recurring incidents, and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented. The Business Analyst role is an integral part of this team and will help drive implementation of PbM teams operational and long term strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience in program management and a track record of successfully implementing/executing continuous improvement initiatives. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Operations and/or Support experience, preferably within a large global corporation–tech and/or cloud organization a plus
  • 5+ years of work experience with solid career progression in data analysis, business development, program management, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in SQL and Excel (including Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)

K ey Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Incident Management team to smoothly and quickly transition major or recurring incidents into the problem management process
  • Document corrective actions with task owners and due date, and follow up to ensure tasks are completed
  • Iterate regularly on the problem management process using data gathered on frequency and severity of incidents
  • Participate in Oracle wide CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) meetings including documenting meeting summary and actions
  • Measure and manage team performance for problem management execution
  • Provide on-call operational support to OCI product/service teams related to CAPAs

  • Intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and drive to get stuff done
  • Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Solid writing and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex, and technical concepts to cross functional audiences
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
