Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization’s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 0 – 2 years relevant work experience.

Job Description

Global Finance Organization (GFO) provides services to support Oracle’s sales transactions from opportunity through invoice collection including sales compensation administration, across all lines of business and countries globally, while continuously improving the employee and customer experience. Within GFO, the Global Finance Operations Enablement (GFOE) group works to improve GFO employee experience and operational efficiency to successfully exceed our customers’ needs and intentions with best in class standards and service for knowledge management, employee development, and communications. As a member the GFOE Agile Project Management Team we provide project management, leadership, and program management services for Deal Management and GFO level key initiatives such as GFO Help, BEA, VUE, RPA, and Global Certification.

This position will help with the GFO KM and Incident Transformation as we prepare for GFO’s move to the Next Gen Help Desk . They will manage enhancement requests, own and maintain GFO documentation, and will support GFO agents, authors and publishers as they work in GFO Help. They will also provide project management for key initiatives and programs supporting Deal Management and GFO Strategic goals and objectives.

As a GFOE Business Analyst, you will help guide projects through the disciplined use of accountability, communication, clear objectives, measurable goals, and project management skills to achieve successful outcomes. You will use strong interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships, drive project and change management success, coach knowledge authors, and provide positive customer experiences. You will also frequently interact with your manager, team and cross-functional peer group. And may interact with senior management.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. BA/BS degree preferred.

Detailed Description

  • Job scope for this role includes Project Management, Jira, Information and Knowledge Management, UAT Operations, and Incident tracking.
  • Assist in developing project plans and coordinating cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which brings distinct, specific projects to completion on time. Includes UAT coordination/leadership and developing/owning project roadmaps.
  • Help define and drive process and/or system improvements that positively impact GFO and Deal Management’s operations.
  • Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate LOB leads, regional teams, module owners, and global process owners to obtain buy in on approach and participation in any initiative.
  • Build strong working relations with various IT organizations to ensure on time delivery of development.
  • Build strategic partnerships to drive change management with a positive frame of mind.
  • Drive system enhancements and prioritization of requests as it relates to the systems used for operations support.
  • Draft and publish knowledge articles for projects, processes, overviews and user guides that adhere to our documented standards.
  • Review and publish knowledge articles for Authors, and provide coaching as needed.
  • Develop and maintain In-App Reports, OPAs and/or Guides in OSvC.

Job Requirements

Technically savvy and passionate about use of tools to help streamline processes. Proven successful project management skills and Agile Methodology experience preferred. Experience with knowledge management, information systems and communications prefered. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet and PowerPoint format. Experience developing presentations for upper management and executives. Experience actively participating and taking a lead role cross-functional projects. Experience leading and influencing individuals with strong personalities and opinions. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management needed. 7-10 years relevant work experience.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the management of multiple, simultaneous global projects of varying scope and complexity involving business processes or system solution implementations.
  • Work with multiple internal operations groups to define and document business requirements, roll out plans and procedures for new and changed functionality.
  • Promptly identify project risk factors and address appropriately.
  • Educate business users on global processes.
  • Coach authors toward successful creation and maintenance of knowledge articles.
  • Resolve escalated issues diplomatically.
