Job Location: India
Responsible for creating and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manage the load configurations of a central data communication processor and make recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. Coordinate terminal orders and cable installation, network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Approves action requests and specifies purchase requisitions. Negotiates and places orders with common carriers. May play a team leader role for developing System Administrators.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Eight years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- 3-5+ years of Experience
- Strong scripting or programming skills for automating repetitive tasks
- DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform) Experience
- Work with Prometheus, Grafana, Oracle Enterprise Manager, ELK, and many other modern technologies
- Good Debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of Linux, networking, application performance and automation
- Be a strong contributor to development of platform services including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and support
- Partner with the distributed team in prototyping new platform services
- Work in non-standard work hours (primary work hrs.: IST) including being part of an on-call roster for holidays and weekends
- Experience managing cloud-native applications and deploying to a Cloud environment (OCI is preferred).
- Experience with Terraform, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Shell Scripting, Python, Puppet, Ansible, and related technologies.
- Experience with Oracle DB and writing SQL/PLSQL queries
- Experience using Agile and Scrum development methodology.
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills in the area of functional and technical SaaS application environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues
- Log reading and analyzing
- Developing and executing SQL queries
- Troubleshooting in SaaS/Cloud environments
- Documenting problem, troubleshooting and resolution steps
- Managing cloud deployment using Kubernetes
- Creating, modifying and executing Jenkins pipelines
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Java programming language
- Synthetic monitoring
- Web Service/API calls
- Excellent communication skills, in terms of being able to deliver technical and functional knowledge and solutions to management and customer support personnel, including the ability to provide feedback (use language) to both technically aware and non-technically aware co-workers.
