Roles and Responsibilities
Data Engineer (Machine Learning) – ON Contract
1. Project Requirement:
- Implement custom ETL/ELT processes in distributed computing environments and large-scale data warehouses
- Design and implement data pipelines capable of modeling data from many sources and store it in such a way that our various engineering groups can properly ingest the data
- Help design, implement and maintain web scrapers that run 24/7 and process millions of domains per month
- Create machine learning data pipelines and work turning AI research into production code that powers our search engine
- Work on server applications and APIs that are used by our Data team
- Handle the challenges that come with managing terabytes of data
- Help with the automation and monitoring of our systems
2. Technology Requirement:
- 3+ years experience in data engineering or as a software engineer with a data-centric view
- 3+ years experience in Python or a similar language (as well as the solid understanding of object-oriented programming)
- 3+ years experience in data warehouses with the ability to have a debate of when the different ones are optimal
- 2+ years experience in data pipeline tools such as Airflow or Luigi
- 2+ years of experience working with machine learning algorithms and turning notebooks into production code
- 1+ year experience working with web-scrapers that are able to scale (Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, etc.)
- Bachelors degree or higher in a computational field
3. Additional Requirement ( Nice to Haves):
- Experience in fintech or financial services
- Work experience in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud

8. Contract Schedule:
- 90 days to start with and can be increased based on the necessity and performance of the consultant
- However, if the consultants performance is much below our expectation and could not scale up then the contract schedule will be reduced to 15 days.
