We expect you to have strong programming skills, a deep understanding of software building and packaging, especially related to Golang, and Python, experience with distributed systems, as well as excellent communication and planning skills. What you will be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the core group working on Distributed Compute infrastructure used for Deep Learning and large-scale Simulation.

Develop systems and tools that will enable development teams to deploy software and manage resources in large-scale distributed environments managed through Kubernetes.

Design, build, and deliver cloud computing solutions, hosted services, and underlying deployment software infrastructure.

Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of the Accelerated Computing Environments deployment pipeline.

One of the main focus areas for the role is to transform development processes for existing applications software development into a Continuous Delivery-driven SDLC, influencing the development and QA teams to adjust working practices in alignment with modern-day software development and delivery approaches
What we need to see:
-
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills, you have the ability to work successfully with multi-functional teams, and architects and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies.

8+ years of software engineering experience on large-scale production systems.

BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Physics/Mathematics or other comparable Degree or equivalent experience
-
Fluent with a scripting programming language, such as Golang, Python, or Ruby.

Strong understanding of Container Orchestration Systems(K8s/Mesos) and Container Technology, CAPI
-
Knowledge of industry standard methodologies for building and deploying software in accelerated distributed computing environments.

Ability to work independently, prioritizes existing projects, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Hands-on experience with at least one of the cloud services: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Prior experience with Kubernetes for service orchestration.

Solid understanding of security standard methodologies in a cloud environment. Good knowledge of Linux/Unix systems for developing and maintaining software.

Consistent record at debugging and solving complex application deployment in cloud environments.
