Job Location: Princeton, NJ

Responsibilities:

Enable delivery of Real World insights and evidence from diverse types of data by accelerating data processing and preparation through modern tools and technologies. Work with data scientists and statisticians to extract, structure, organize, store, and process data to make it ready for statistical analyses or machine learning algorithms. Participate in analyses of data using new tools and in presenting analyses results using graphs, charts, and other forms of data visualization. Responsible and accountable for all data processing and programming needs for non-clinical data until the analyses stage.

  • Work closely with data scientists, statisticians, and stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Value and Real World Evidence, and Market Access to support data products, insights, and evidence through data programming.

  • Design and specify the structure of the datasets that will be delivered for statistical analysis.

  • Design and develop automation of various clinical processes using AWS services.

  • Actively participate in project/study team meetings. Lead projects. Advise on data related sections of protocols, analyses plans and publications; participate in mock-ups, review, and approve tables, listings and graphs specifications.

  • Develop end-to-end data programs and data pipelines using Java/Python/AWS services to conduct or facilitate analyses by data scientists, statisticians or other stakeholders.

  • Efficient manipulation of large databases, including complex data processing, filtering and manipulating data from multiple sources using modern programming languages.

  • Lead development and implementation of efficient, modular, reusable data programs and data pipelines in modern computational environments to process variety of Real World data.

  • Design and establish rigorous QC or validation process, programming templates to ensure quality of data analyses and evidence.

  • Ensure professional development to enhance knowledge, skills, communication, scientific and technical methodologies, operational efficiency and compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Create and lead stakeholder engagements, analyses requests being fully accountable for timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Provide data programming advice and direction within the team and to stakeholders for ad hoc analysis requests, including design of appropriate analyses to answer relevant questions.

  • Serve as the key point of contact for Data or Data Analysis requests for Data Programming requests.

  • Define and lead initiatives to establish efficient data storage, data organization, and data analyses across data types for internal and external Real World Data

  • Conceive and implement data and analytics ecosystem for efficient and compliant delivery for analytics and evidence from data.

  • Minimal travel (less than 5%) to professional conferences and other work-related interests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a data and analytics related quantitative field.

  • Ten (10) years of experience in statistical and data analysis programming languages, such as R, Python, or Java.

  • Four (4) years of experience handling data and developing data products in GxP and non-GxP environments.

  • Four (4) years of experience working with large complex data sets, SQL and no-SQL databases.

  • Four (4) years of experience organizing, retrieving, searching, mapping, and manipulating data to render it for analyses, and graphing, charting.

  • Four (4) years of experience with leading large transformation initiatives around data or data science.

  • Three (3) years of experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or a related industry.

  • Three (3) years of experience with technical team management.
