Amenify is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player and will use their passion for data analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics.

Responsibilities

Comfortable owning business reporting – both scheduled and ad hoc
Ability to convert raw data to information to knowledge to augment data driven decisions in a timely manner
Compile, analyze and report data related to various business’ KPIs in a standardized reporting tool using SQL
Develop clear data visualizations and graphs to convey complicated data in a simple manner

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience
1 – 2 years’ Data Analysis experience
In-depth knowledge of one or more SQL Languages (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and reporting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process across multiple time zones
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with an owner’s mentality

Our Company – Indoeuropeans Pvt Ltd launched a start-up project ( Prarang), four years back, in 4 Cities of India & is now preparing to expand to over 500 cities, in the next 4 years.

“Prarang” is a mass education venture focused on cities & communication in local languages. It enters each city by curating daily hyper-local content specific to that city, in its mother-tongue & digitally delivering it through Social Media, Android App & E-Mail to active internet users in each city, everyday – all 365 days, per year. The daily content for each city typically takes between 10 to 15 minutes of reading time only & always uses relevant, curated photos & videos.

The daily content of Prarang aggregates over a year on a City-Portal, as a City Knowledge repository (Encyclopedia) about the city. The Prarang City portal is in fact a one-stop digital gateway for all e-Services (B2B, B2C & G2C) for the City, providing information useful for City residents: weather forecasts, maps, news, entertainment, job opportunities, yellow pages etc. on a single page, through tie-ups with partners.

Alongside the digital rollout, Prarang also aims to curate a museum on the evolution of Indian cities, near Delhi.

The start-up team of Prarang is a small coordination unit of just 4 to 6 headcount, based in Noida. It outsources much of the work to writers, visualizers (image creators), software development/ maintenance & digital marketing companies. Most roles inside the company therefore are management roles involving analysis, vendor management, quality control & strategic work related to our presence in existing cities and to expand entry into new cities and finally, new countries too.

City Analyst Role:

The City Analyst role involves an analytical research of the allocated Cities (Districts) with Census data & other city surveys available over the past few years and, a comparison with other cities/districts in the State & in India.

The City Analyst needs to search & analyse district level information of India, to add to Prarang’s proprietary database. Topics covering Culture & Nature of Indian districts – data, photos, weblinks & published books – need to be geo-tagged & archived.

As such, the City Analyst is fully responsible for the City/District assigned and working on collecting and entering data in Excel/Google Sheets and maintaining accurate records of information at all times. Another important aspect would be reviewing existing data for deficiencies or errors and correcting discrepancies if any.

Duration: 3-6 Months

Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Word.
Good General Knowledge & the ability to curate this knowledge. A good academic record is necessary.
Data Analytics and Data Representation
An ability to locate and authenticate reliable sources of Data.
BA or BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Management or another technical field
