The Business Intelligence Analyst develops and maintains a suite of business intelligence reporting tools including Tableau dashboards, business objects reporting, power apps and SharePoint solutions for the Walt Disney World Resorts, Transportation, Premium Services, and Hotels & Lodging LOB teams. This individual will build the data connections between the various Walt Disney World systems to provide the most accurate and reliable key performance indicators to the operating teams and their support partners. They create data visualizations to improve decision making capabilities through collaboration with a wide variety of partners. The role must have awareness of the operational areas supported by the Quality Operations team to deliver effective business intelligence to enable operations to drive guest, cast, and financial enhancements. In addition, the individual will support HotSos as a system administrator conducting system oversight, maintenance, reporting, and user audits. The ideal candidate will be an individual with deep technical coding skills, be a confident data-led storyteller, and develop partnerships with the clients they support. You will report to the Manager, Business Intelligence.


What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards using Tableau with visualizations that are engaging and easy understand and navigate

  • Apply deep technical skills to create advanced SQL queries that are efficient with minimal run time for large amounts of data across a variety of source sites

  • Build Python code to create connections between various data services (e.g. Snowflake, data warehouses, tableau)

  • Leverage tools to improve user interface experience and visualization enhancements

  • Automates delivery of standard reports

  • Keep proactive awareness of industry tools for visualizations and reporting in business intelligence

  • Exhibit solid understanding of client needs to shape dashboards and reports, set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate results that can be understood and acted upon

  • Identifies functional requirements through process analysis, review of procedures, interviews and meetings with collaborators

  • Occasionally works alongside developers and system architects to use the requirements to design from both business and technical perspectives

  • Business-focused consulting with clients and executives

  • Communicate technical concepts with audiences ranging from entry-level operational Cast to Executives


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1+ years’ experience acquiring, organizing, cleansing and manipulating large amounts of data using SQL

  • 1+ years’ experience building sophisticated visualizations in Tableau

  • 1+ years’ experience in an individual contributor or leadership role with technical responsibilities

  • Experience in information technology programming, database administration, or maintenance, and sustaining multiple systems/sites

  • Experience using the following technologies: SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, and/or PowerAutomate

  • Experience in technical debugging and root cause assessment

  • Ability to document business processes, determine functional requirements, and turn them into technical specifications

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to a constantly evolving business environment

  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
