Granular Insurance is a subsidiary of Verily. Granular’s mission is to empower self-funded employers to better manage their health risk with its innovative and data-driven Precision Risk platform of solutions. Granular’s Precision Risk delivers better health outcomes and meaningful, long-term financial predictability via more precise underwriting, risk segmentation, and actionable insights into cost drivers.

As the Insurance Technology Salesforce Analyst, you will be supporting Granular Insurance by leading the growth and management of Granular’s CRM (Salesforce.com) platform. This will include managing internal and external stakeholders’ use of the platform, providing Salesforce.com technical support, working with third party partners to provide development, and performing business analysis functions on projects and processes within the company. These projects are in varying degrees of the project life cycle; from ideation, planning, execution, and maintenance. You will be creating new business processes and adjusting existing ones by collaborating with Sales, Underwriting, Operational, and Leadership teams. You will also be working with a number of key stakeholders including company management, development partners, staff members, as well as the Verily technology teams supporting Granular.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in building systems and processes within Salesforce. You will need to be able to work at a strategic level and in the details. You will need to feel comfortable working in a start-up environment where processes and systems still need to be defined and built. Understanding the data about our business is very important and you will need to be familiar with data definitions, analytics, and reporting.


Responsibilities

  • Administer and support of the Salesforce platform for Granular Insurance and align technology efforts through effective requirements gathering, communications and change management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Granular to define, monitor, and meet project goals, both as a participant and as a leader.
  • Create new processes and adjust existing processes by performing business analysis work and recommending changes to people, process and technology.
  • Collaborate with project and product management teams to ensure the delivery of software aligns to corporate goals.
  • Perform system testing on new functions and features of software, as well as coordinate User Acceptance Testing.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) with 3+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, preferably within health insurance or technology and experience in administering CRMs (i.e. Salesforce.com).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), analytical and presentation skills with outstanding attention to detail and ability to take initiative, build productive relationships and influence effectively across various levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define effective approaches and proactively overcome challenges.
  • Strong understanding of technology, preferably application development, workflow management, and enterprise architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in managing and building CRM solutions, including Salesforce Administration.
  • Experience in building enterprise wide systems workflow management solutions, data analysis and reporting of insurance operations with little oversight.
  • Strong project management skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills.
  • Effective at communicating complicated technical concepts in simple ways for business teams.
  • Experience participating in large cross-functional projects or implementations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 – $120,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently and independently execute data science projects based on the company’s priorities, focusing on multi-platform genomic and clinical data.
  • Drive data innovation by exploring different data sources, analysis methods, and ML algorithms.
  • Analyze real-world data to identify patterns for various clinical and business cases, including treatment patterns and management costs.
  • Identify key clinical events, such as cancer progression and treatments, using CPT, NDC, ICD codes, and structured database free text.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and survival modelling for the clinical events defined from real-world data.
  • Visualize finding from the data and summarize them in a coherent story.

Who You Are:

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science or equivalent field.
  • 3+ years of experience of data/applied scientist role.
  • Proficient in SQL and R.
  • Strong skills with data clean-up, manipulation and visualization using tidyverse, ggplot in R or equivalent.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis, especially in survival modelling and hypothesis testing (i.e., multivariate regression modelling with interaction effects).
  • Problem solving skills via searching Internet as well as leveraging LLM such as ChatGPT.
  • Excellent in summarizing and communicating findings from data and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirements.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (preferred but not required):

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of basic bioinformatics, genomics, and cancer biology
  • Past research experience in urological oncology, bioinformatics, digital pathology, or relevant fields

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join our team. Position Summary:

Utilizing analytical and data management tools, performs intermediate level data creation, management, analysis and troubleshooting activities in support of multiple research projects and studies. Performs statistical analyses associated with research projects.


Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing/maintaining data for multiple projects or research efforts.
  • Creates, supports, and troubleshoots tools or software used to manage data.
  • Develops and maintains quality controls for all research databases.
  • Designs database queries and compiles, analyzes, and reports statistical data for research projects.

Position Summary:

The Data Scientist – Level I is a skillful team player with a clear track record of transforming data into actionable insights and knowledge. This individual is a deliberate and systematic scientist who can clearly articulate the hypotheses to be tested, practice with rigor and precision, and maintain a balanced/independent point of view to achieve valid and accepted findings. Utah Valley University is seeking a Data Platform Engineer III – BIDP to tenaciously keep the UVU (Utah Valley University) Data Platform operational across various environments on-prem and in the cloud. The Data Platform engineer ensures the availability, integrity, and efficiency of the UVU Data Platform. Responsible for production environment backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, performance tuning database maintenance and support. The UVU Data Platform includes Oracle Databases, Oracle RAC, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, MSFT SQL Server environments and API Management. Success in this role will require focus on automation, consistency of performance and reliability of delivery. More experienced candidates will proactively identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions to build prototypes & develop deployment strategies, procedures .procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. Works in support of an Oracle based administrative system Ellucian Banner.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design, Engineer & Advise: Develops and maintains scheduled auto database instance cloning mechanism to clone production instance to any testing. Develops and maintains data loading/refresh mechanisms for all other IT related database and Data Platform instances. Creates and maintains data platform roles and profiles to ensure appropriate access to information. Monitors and analyzes the performance of all other Dx related database instances, fine tuning where necessary. Develops plans and supporting information relating to the RDBMS and host platform. Verifies satisfactory short- and long-term data platform operations of all other Dx related data platform instances. Establishes and maintains an up-to-date library of relevant publications and resource materials. Attends conferences, seminars and training classes and any other meeting necessary. Serves as a technical resource for other Dx personnel. Ensures data platform backups can be restored. Partners with others to design and implement UVU Disaster Recover and Business Continuity plans. Ensures cross training of UVU Platform Administrators. Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, education, and production usage. Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. Plans and implements the backup and recovery of the Data Platform.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance – Plans, maintains, and tests Data Platform (Oracle Database, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, etc.) backup and recovery procedures. Monitors and analyzes performance of data platform database instances and fine tunes where necessary. Reviews production Data Platform alerts, logs, and performance daily. Designs and builds resilient systems and processes. Performs ongoing tuning of the data platform
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform database transaction and security audits. Install and configure relevant network components to ensure data platform access and database consistency and integrity. Maintains and keeps current on availability of applicable vendor releases and associated installation requirements; installs updates and releases in a timely and organized manner. Verifies availability of testing database instances, allowing user community many opportunities to explore and test. Uses log files, related trace files and other methods for troubleshooting and optimization of backup, system up-time and serviceability of third-party integrations. Manages third party integrations with UVU production data platform while maintaining UVU security interests. Manage sharing of resources among applications. Troubleshoots with problems regarding the data platform, applications, and development tools.
  • Governance: Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels. Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases with data owners and department managers. Audits current content and availability of relevant Oracle RDBMS and IAS patches and upgrades. Documents UVU DBA best practices and processes for database setup, backup, tuning and troubleshooting, serves as expert of Database services office procedures, (i.e., how many test instances we have, recommended backup strategies, etc.). Establishes standards & guidelines for UVU Databases that will be followed / implemented by other DBAs. Determines Oracle Standards for UVU (i.e., File Structure, Directory Structure, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications
