About Business Unit

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs planning and estimation efforts at the task level
• Understanding the requirements
• Writing code as per the high-level design and adhering to product quality norms
• Logs defects, identify the course of action, and performs preliminary root cause analysis.
• Contribute to process improvements in the project

Essential Requirements :

• 2-4 years of experience in software development
• Programming and debugging skills in Python
• Experience in object-oriented development and multi-threaded applications.
• Proficient with Linux or Windows Operating systems
• Has worked in either System Management domains but not mandatory.
• Understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.
• Experience in test automation tools

Desired Requirements :

• Demonstrable experience in th continuous delivery like Continuous Integration tools, Code coverage tools, code guideline tools
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Good team player

The purpose of the LCCI Business Insights & Analytics team is to partner with the global Business Insights & Analytics team catering to various Lilly affiliates and thereby provide high-quality analytical support to Brand, Market Research, and other internal partners through the right data, smart analytics, and actionable insights. The LCCI Business Insights & Analytics Intern will do data analysis to support the achievement of the brand’s goals, while always striving for process improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build expertise on available data sets and supports data enabled decision making using patient and prescription data from external suppliers and internal data from various other sources
• Ensure high stakeholder satisfaction by supporting delivery of high quality, timely and insightful outputs throughout analytics value chain on various objectives related to:

• Patient journey, multichannel engagement, segmentation, targeting, etc. e.g. analysis on source of business, persistency, test and control, engagement segmentation, channel spend optimization, trade off analysis, etc.
• Performance analytics for dashboards and reports pertaining to Lilly brand performance, market monitoring, new brand launch performance trackers, Institutional/KAM performance, customer analysis, etc.
• Data support through data mining and warehousing

• Project Delivery: as team member, supporting the team lead in driving

• quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the analytics value chain
• creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists that will enable excellent quality outputs

• Work with cross-functional teams including external consultants and IT teams to provide data guidance
• Participating in meetings with stakeholders and communicating the final outputs and recommendations

Education Requirements

• Degree in quantitative discipline i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Sciences

Experience related requirements

• 0-1 years of analytics experience with ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment in analytics
• Technical Skills

• MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
• Knowledge in any of the following coding techniques: SAS, SQL, Python, R
• Knowledge in any of the following data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
• Working experience in the tools above is an advantage
