Position Responsibilities:

• Estimate user stories/features (story point estimation) and tasks in hours with the required level of accuracy and commit them as part of Sprint Planning.
• Contributes to the Backlog refinement meetings by promptly asking relevant questions to ensure requirements achieve the right level of DOR.
• Works with the Product Owner to confirm that the code and acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality.

• Ensures change requests are treated correctly and tracked in the system, impact analysis done and risks/timelines are appropriately communicated.
• Develops working software towards committed Team PI Objectives and Iteration plans.

• Designs for testability: Design and evolve the system to support testability and test automation.

JOB DESCRIPTION: FULL STACK BI DEVELOPER

We are looking for a FULL Stack BI Developer to join BICC team as we move our focus to Microsoft Azure – you will have the opportunity to conduct development on the latest BI software to support our customer reporting and analytical needs. You’ll work as part of the Nuance BI and Analytics team developing BI reporting, building data models and tools, and ensuring continuous access to recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards to provide critical insights that can be used to make sound business decisions. In addition to this you will engage with data users to define the data and reporting requirements.

You will be: –

• Working in our Business Intelligence team you’ll provide analytical and development support to a wide range of business teams
• Ensure the successful timely completion of assigned BI project deliverables
• Defining, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and solutions on the Microsoft Azure BI stack
• Working closely with Business users, gathering requirements, and translating them
• Design and develop data warehouse and storage
• Ingesting data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations
• Data modelling capabilities including designing effective BI data models
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Developing calculations in DAX
• Utilizing the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.
• Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
• Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access.

Required Qualification

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering in computer science or equivalent, masters is a plus
• Must have 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft BI Stack (Data ingestion to Creating Visualizations)
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports. Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set
• Experience in supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and support/maintenance phases
• Experience with all aspects of data systems including database design, ETL/ELT, aggregation strategy, performance optimization, SQLHands-on experience of cloud based BI technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory V1/V2, Azure SQL and Azure Analysis Services, SSIS, Power BI
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through to completion with minimal supervision – larger projects, change requests, task commitments, Self-starter, take initiative and innovative
