The job of an ML Engineer at 7-Eleven Global Center comes with a lot of responsibility and lots of fun.

Youre looking for a role where you can drive decisions, be challenged, and build products ground-up. You want to collaborate with smart, creative, and energetic people, who share a passion for technology and commerce. Your responsibilities at the center include:

• Design and develop Machine Learning and Data Science solutions for 7-Eleven retail challenges
• Operationalize solutions through automation of data pipelines
• Experiment with off the shelf libraries and/or build custom solutions using a deep understanding of statistical algorithms
• Participate with business stakeholders in the areas of personalization, supply chain, inventory management, labor management, etc
• Challenge oneself and others in continuous improvement through proof on concepts, industry research, internal and external model bake-offs

Your Job

As a Software Engineering Manager at Indeed, you will provide hands-on leadership of a team of developers building integrations to partner systems. You will both contribute directly to building integrations, act as the point of contact for reviewing technical documentation for potential new integrations, and manage a combination of employees and contractors to deliver integrations.

You are comfortable learning new things on the fly and helping your team learn unfamiliar systems and technology. You make pragmatic technology decisions to balance scalability, speed to market, and long-term maintainability. You document implementations effectively and work with internal and external stakeholders to validate integrations and deliver them to customers.

You understand that the best managers serve their teams, removing roadblocks and giving individual contributors autonomy and ownership. You have led engineering teams and earned the respect of talented software developers. You are equally happy talking algorithms and data structures as you are brainstorming about agile development process and technology career development. You want to be in the mix technically while providing leadership to your teams.

Who You Are

• BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience Prior success as an Engineering Manager and experience building high-performance distributed systems
• Experience with at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, Python, C#, Ruby Solid knowledge of data structures and a deep understanding of web technologies
• Prior experience building cloud-based solutions, especially on AWS and you have a broad understanding of API technologies, such as REST, SOAP, ODATA, etc.
• Strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL and experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures

The Enterprise Analytics team at FactSet provides actionable insights based on consistent, trusted data through a robust framework of analysis, infrastructure, and visualizations. Our vision is to empower the workforce to make informed decisions that drive value, growth, and efficiency throughout the enterprise.

We are currently looking for a full time Machine Learning Engineer who will be able to understand and analyze the usage of FactSet’s product offering. The successful candidate will apply statistics to data, as well as design, develop and maintain machine learning models to be used for information retrieval and predictive analytics within FactSet’s enterprise environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Use statistical, machine learning and AI techniques to create the next generation analytics of products and support systems.

• Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.

• Solid foundation in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

• Work closely with team of scientists and data engineers to drive real-time model implementations.

• A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment with a strong “Learn and Be Curious” attitude.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Advanced degree in Math, Economics, Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related discipline to come up with ideal solutions for challenging problems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating with engineers as well as senior business leaders.

• 10+ years of experience as a senior Data Scientist or ML Engineer in ML domain with proven expertise in at least one database technology such as PostgreSQL or Azure Synapse.

• Strong coding proficiency in Python and experience using Scikit-Learn, Numpy, Pandas and other Python libraries.

• Experience with at least one of the AI libraries such as Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch.

• Experience using modern approaches to NLP such as BERT or GPT.

• Experience with at least one of the ML frameworks such as Azure Databricks Machine Learning, Azure Synapse Analytics etc.

• Hands on experience in time series forecasting utilizing both traditional and modern AI approaches.

• Experience developing and supporting machine learning production systems.

• Excellent SQL skills and working with extremely large and complex datasets in a distributed database environment.

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of ML, NLP, Deep Learning, Knowledge Graphs and have experience working with massive amounts of data. They should also have strong software engineering skills and the ability to build systems that reach JP Morgan scale.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and train production grade ML models on large-scale datasets to solve various business use cases for Commercial Banking.
• Use large scale data processing frameworks such as Spark, AWS EMR for feature engineering and be proficient across various data both structured and un-structured.
• Use Deep Learning frameworks like CNN, RNN, LSTM and Attention for solving use cases requiring semantic search, named entity resolution, forecasting, anomaly detection among many other techniques
• Build ML models across Public and Private Cloud environments including container-based Kubernetes environments.
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines necessary to transform existing applications and business processes into true AI systems.
• Build both batch and real-time model prediction pipelines with existing application and front-end integrations.
• You will collaborate to develop large-scale data modeling experiments, evaluating against strong baselines, and extracting key statistical insights and/or cause and effect relations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree in field of Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of working experience as a hands-on data scientist is must
• Overall 8 to 12 years of industry experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills along with significant experience of managing stakeholder of diverse background is preferred
• Experience, as a Data Science lead , in driving projects end to end is preferred
• Hands on expertise with Python, PySpark, DL frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch over GPU is preferred
• Experience in large scale Machine Learning system design is preferred

• Experience in designing and building highly scalable distributed ML models in production
• Experience with analytics (ex: SQL, Presto, Spark, Python, AWS suite)

• Experience with machine learning techniques and advanced analytics (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, time series, econometrics, causal inference, mathematical optimization)

• Experience working with end-to-end pipelines consisting of Cloud services is preferred
• Experience with AWS ML ecosystem (i.e. Sagemaker, EMR etc.) is preferred
