Role Description

Role Description: Design Intern

We are looking for a talented UX/UI Design Intern to create user-centered product solutions based on user and business insights for our client partners. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, develop experience strategies, lead and mentor other designers assigned to the project, and ability to communicate ideas both verbally and visually.

Role and responsibilities

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Design UI interfaces for responsive websites, apps, and other digital products
  • Generate mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Develop or extend client design systems, guidelines, and resources
  • Be actively involved in user research sessions and be able to conduct design sprint workshops with stakeholders and non-designer colleagues.
  • Present and defend designs and milestone deliverables to client stakeholders and development teams
  • Research both interaction design and technology trends, establishing new standards and evolve existing standards for User Experience design process and deliverables.
  • Promote and contribute to UX/UI best practices, processes, and methodologies.

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

  • A mixture of creative and technical skills
  • Excellent teamworking skills
  • Working knowledge in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes (e.g., Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma and InVision)
  • Up to date with the latest UX trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Verbal communication skills, as you present your research findings and the reasons behind your design decisions
  • Creativity and innovation, to come up with new ideas
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Nice-to-have skills

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., UI developers and Back-end Engineering)
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • The ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Figma, Mural etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in design, with outstanding fundamental design skills preferably from NID, IIT, MIT, Shristi, UPES etc.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Math expert whose native language is Assamese and is fluent in English. If you are proud of your mathematical abilities, and are well versed in both English as well as in Assamese, then this role is tailor made for you. This is a full-time, year-long contract position.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee end to end Assamese localization workflow using our translation management tools and systems.
  • Drive high quality output from localization partners. Support and resolve queries for the Assamese localization team (comprising of state teachers and/or in-house translators)
  • Evaluating content for standards alignment, cohesion, rigor, clarity, pedagogical approach, and other aspects of quality.
  • Creating new content and/or editing content as needed to improve quality based on quantitative data and feedback from users and experts.


YOU NEED

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in math having a great command of English and Assamese language
  • Experience of working with teams of writers, teachers, or content creators, and you have a track record of successfully coaching teams
  • Strong project management skills and are able to think through short and long term strategy as it relates to content creation priorities
  • Teaching or tutoring experience at the K-12 or university level, giving you a deep empathy with teachers and classrooms (2+ years of teaching experience preferred)
  • You’re a strong communicator, equipped with different strategies for delivering effective feedback and for articulating how to make great ideas and content even better

Mastercard Loyalty Solutions provides a wide range of loyalty assets including the design, implementation, and operations of cardholder loyalty programs as well as cardholder promotions, benefits, and insurance services. The Loyalty – Offers team is a collaborative organization and this role will interface with various global teams to serve our clients. This role will be on a team of high performing, co-located individuals representing different functional web development roles with all the necessary skills to create enterprise capabilities for LoyaltyOffers. Role:

This position will develop, deliver and support the LoyaltyOffers Platform. The objective for this role is to provide strong technical leadership for website development that leverages big data stores and real time data streams.

  • Leads the design, development, implementation, and delivery for engineering efforts for Loyalty Offers
  • Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code for a medium to large/complex component or feature that is modular, functional and testable.
  • Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
  • Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.

Design and build technical road-maps and guide the development staff on adoption

  • Create or introduce, test, and deploy new technology to optimize the service

All About You:

  • Strong foundation in data structures and core computer science concepts.
  • Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Angular, Scala, C++, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Experiences

  • IT experience in all phases of the development lifecycle and in relationship building with business clients
  • Experienced in engaging external IT vendors, including managing vendor selection and maintenance of vendor relations
