What you’ll achieve

As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will be responsible for the design and development activities associated with software using a range of applicable technologies (e.g., programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, other tools) for products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. Analyzes requirements and develops innovative, useful software. Modifies existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability. Leads in product development in all stages from planning and design to development and testing. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Assists training with production of formal training material for sales/marketing.

The team “Client Product Group” is responsible for building and delivering manageability software for the Enterprise Client line of business (eg. Laptops, Workstations, Desktops etc.)

  Be responsible to work with external partners and internal Dell technology, marketing, and engineering teams to Define/Design/Architect products for Next-Gen Client Platforms.

  Design and develop the overall software architecture and work in collaboration with HW and SW engineering for implementation

Job Description:

• Identify and quantify risk by analyzing and interpreting in service fleet data.
• Assure compliance with FAA safety requirements.
• Provide detailed reports and recommendations for mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present technical presentations. Present requirement, design and/or development revision and changes to formal change boards.
• Participate in Safety Panel Reviews. Coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements and other specialty engineering groups.
• Review flight documents, operational scenarios, and subsequent changes for safety impact
• Participate in associated technical review board meetings.
• Provide real-time and post-flight engineering support for flight anomaly investigations
• Support in testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Participates in developing the planning, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Qualification & Skills Required

• 
  Bachelors Engineering degree, Preferably Electronics/Aeronautical/Electrical / Systems Engineering with up to 5-10 years / Master’s degree, with up to 5-8 years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• Experience in Airplane systems Displays, Flight Management Systems
• Experience in systems engineering or safety analysis.
• Familiarity with SAE ARP4761 and ARP4754A.
• Basic understanding of DO 254/DO178C standards is mandatory.
• Working knowledge on MIL STD 810 & MIL STD 461 requirement is required.
• Excellent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Experience in requirements development, verification or assurance
• Exposure on System design of Avionics LRU components is preferred.
• An understanding of system safety hazards analysis process to include the generation of hazards analysis
• Familiarity of Reliability calculations such as FMEA, FTA and Reliability Tools is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements is highly desired.

The Communication Engineer will perform work associated with Construction Turnover Help in AT&T Project. Work will utilize programs, procedures and work processes developed and provided by the project along with standard engineering and Construction Help work planning and scheduling to complete project deliverables. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with installing a Network or Linux system and experience with the concepts of both.

Preferred qualifications:

• Classroom experience in or a practical understanding of Linux and Networking, including installation, systems administration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge and experience with hardware architecture, maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of networking, including topology and protocol concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills and domains.
• Ability to work as a team member, and to collaborate with others to help resolve challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
