ROLE OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Engineering team is increasing capabilities to support projects in the Oil, Gas and Chemicals, business unit of Bechtel Global. There is a vacancy in the New Delhi office for professional with OG&C experience as Mechanical Rotating Equipment (API & Non- API Centrifugal Pumps/Rotary & Reciprocating Pumps/ Air and Gas Compressors/ Fans & Blowers, Dosing Packages/ Fire Water Pumps/ Pneumatic Pumps etc.) Engineer, qualified to degree level. A minimum of Eight years’ industrial experience is required for this position. Candidate should have held a mid-level position (Responsible Engineer) in the Engineering team for execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, EPCM, EPC modes of execution for Indian / International projects.

The Mechanical Engineer will report to the AL/GL/APE/PEM and duties will include the following:

• Plan and conduct independent work carried out with sound engineering practices and of desired quality within schedule and cost.
• Review of Process package for completeness of Process and Mechanical related data.
• Review of PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, Process Calculations and Data Sheets for Pumps and Compressors, Packages and commenting/review on the same for completeness.

• Proper selection of rotating equipment and auxiliaries as per the process conditions and specific project requirements.
• Knowledge of different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features.
• Sound Knowledge in governing codes and standards like API 610, API 682, API 685, API 674, API 675, API 676, API 614, API 671, API 673, ANSI B 73.1, NFPA 20, HI Standards etc, commensurate to experience years.
• Prior experience in handling Centrifugal Gas Compressors, Reciprocating and Screw Gas Compressors, Drive turbines and packages is project requirement..
• Understanding of Inspection requirements. Review of shop and site test procedures and analysis reports.
• Understand various types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials.
• Knowledge of other industry / regulatory codes and standards like ANSI, ISO, BS, BIS, IS, ASME, OISD, Licensor & Client specifications etc.
• Familiarity with model reviews and Hazop sessions and use of SPR is desirable.
• Knowledge of engineering work planning and schedules, related construction practices and inspection and testing requirements for various rotating equipment.

• Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects.
