Responsibilities:

• Build distributed, real-time, high-volume data & ML pipelines and work together with others to enable high-scale ML applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of industry experience, or Master’s degree
• Solid foundations in data science & machine learning in multiple domains), both statistical and deep learning (with Time series analysis & NLP), with experience developing and running ML models at scale in production
• Familiarity with Machine Learning solutions (using various models, such as Linear/Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, (Deep) Neural Networks, Hidden Markov Models, Conditional Random Fields, Topic Modeling, Game Theory, Mechanism Design, etc.)
• Background in statistical analysis and modeling (distributions, hypothesis testing, probability theory, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with statistical packages, ML libraries (e.g. R, Python scikit learn, Spark MLlib, etc.), and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP, etc) ML offerings a plus
• Familiarity with ML model development frameworks, ML orchestration and pipelines with experience (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow or MLFlow) a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Overview
We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team of data analytics. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture,
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive and Product teams to assist with datarelated technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers.
• Create data tools for analytics and product team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Qualifications, skills and capabilities required:

• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of related softwares/ tools will be desirable such as Big Data Tools, SQL, Workflow management tools, AWS cloud services.
