The Role:

• Working independently to support Media Reporting team with various analytical / reporting tasks to ensure their projects are delivered.
• Researching the broadcast distribution of specific events and gathering related secondary media data.
• Uploading of data to proprietary dashboard, ensuring it is processed through the platform correctly
• Use functions such as pivot tables, data filters and chart wizards in Microsoft Excel to prepare report data
• Auditing, proofing and improving the accuracy of data sets and reports
• Shape report templates in PowerPoint and/or InDesign

The Finance Data Management Office is responsible for providing fit for purpose data required by Corporate Finance and driving data governance and policy adherence to the Firmwide Data Management standards and capabilities.

The Finance Chief Data Office is looking for an Analyst level candidate who will be part of a high performing team of data management professionals focused on delivering innovative data management solutions to Corporate Finance stakeholders. Asset class data team members are aligned by product(s) and focused on the delivery of data management capabilities driven by GF&BM projects, Firmwide Data Management Critical Business Initiatives, and Corporate Finance stakeholder BAU data needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders (i.e., Asset Class Controllers, Product Controllers, FERCs, and P&A) and Finance CDO leadership team to support the delivery the following data capabilities for a prioritized book of product-aligned work
  • Data RequirementsDrive provisioning of fit-for-purpose data by working with consumers to identify data requirements; enhance data consistency through definition of business terms and alignment of data providers to agreed upon business terms; maintain alignment between business terms and data requirements documentation/metadata
  • Data SourcingIdentify authoritative sources of data based upon data requirements for on-boarding to Corporate Finance architecture; support FFBA Product Owners in demand prioritization and grooming sessions
  • Data QualityFacilitate resolution and oversight of the book of data quality issues and data sourcing gaps; ensure issues are clearly understood for prioritization and resolution and linkage to all necessary metadata (i.e., adjustments, demand, technology jiras); support roll-out of Data Content Owner strategy
  • Data Quality ControlsEnsure data integrity by identifying and overseeing implementation of data quality controls within Corporate Finance applications and upstream LOB applications
  • Data LandscapeEngage with Corporate Technology to clearly describe data across its lifecycle for a common view and language across Finance and the Firm enabling data lineage from point of consumption back to point of origin
• Support Finance CDO leadership team in preparing for Finance forums to communication status of work, drive framing and rollout of CDO strategy, and advise on overall data health

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project experience required, with particular focus in the data space highly preferred
• Strong core finance technical skills and solid understanding of finance processes, infrastructure and systems
• Strong hands on in MS excel for data analysis, SQL or any database query language
• Subject Matter Expertise of Trading Book or Banking products preferred (e.g., Derivatives, Securities, Wholesale & Consumer Lending, Wholesale & Consumer Deposits, Cash)
• Attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
• Proven ability to lead across LOBs/Functions and geographies and with implementing organizational change; strong interpersonal skills

Role Overview:

The Business Analytics/Data Analyst works with the Reporting & Analytics Manager and Business Relationship Managers on large scale implementations or projects. The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing Sophisticated Analytics reports, dashboards to enable visibility, analysis and business insight in support strategic imperatives and ongoing business requirements. Sophisticated Analytics solutions include, but are not limited to, end-user reports, sophisticated & custom data visualizations, native connectivity to multiple data sources and data ingestion from web forms and various business applications.

Responsibilities: (Please specify % amount against each responsibility)

• 30%Design, develop, and deploy high fidelity operational (transparency into what’s happening now), strategic (supervise key performance indicators) and analytical (process data to identify trends, forecasts, and insights) reports and dashboards. The implementation process shall follow industry standards and good practices to ensure the security of information and user access points when deploying Business Analytical solutions.
• 50%- Support & maintain the analytics user experience, adoption and release management cycle of dashboard/report content, administration and user maintenance. Ensuring all procedural documentation is up to date
• 10%Use standard customer engagement methods & tools for guided analytics, online training, and informative materials for the transfer/sharing of knowledge and mentor end-users
• 10%Work with Data Engineers to drive automation, process improvements and resource efficiency. Analyze and propose solutions to critical problems using business and technical knowledge

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in data analytics, business analytics, data science, information sciences, computer science or relevant field

Licenses/ Certifications:

Azure Cloud Developer nice to have

Tableau Desktop Certification recommended

Power BI Desktop Specialist recommended

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including capabilities with Access, Excel (pivot table, analytical functions, data visualization) and PowerPoint

Experience:

1+ years of extensive Power BI standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, storyboarding/storytelling experience OR 1+ years of extensive Tableau standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, storyboarding, storytelling experience

Designer of information visualizations and dashboards

Good understanding of data analysis, modeling, report generation and warehousing/data stores.

High level of digital literacy with desktop and cloud-based efficiency software such as Office365, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Teams etc.

Accountabilities
