Team: The Business Analyst will be part of the Analyst tools team of the Digital Transformation Team within the ESG Research division.

Role: The Business Analyst (BA) will play an integral part in improving digital operations to enhance the research processes and systems to collect ESG data and insights. The BA will successfully release new digital solutions to research teams to accelerate growth and improve process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the vision for Research Databases across research teams
  • Acts as a liaison between Research teams, Digital Product Owners, and the Technology team
  • Conduct requirement gathering session with business/operations team to understand the AS-IS processes / requirements and suggest TO-BE processes/requirements
  • Contribute to the analysis and drafting of business requirements and own BRD, SRS, User Story, Use Case or similar SDLC artefacts
  • Perform feasibility analysis, gap analysis, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables
  • Co-ordinate and review test strategy, test specifications, assist in SIT and provide UAT support
  • Partner across stakeholders to identify and consolidate requirements into a single repository for tracking and change management
  • Partner with the business to ensure sign-off on all requirements, testing and implementation.
  • Responsible for identifying business problem areas and aligning themselves to the pain areas
  • Highlighting project and delivery risks proactively and promptly
  • Manage changes to requirements per process
  • Should be well versed with basic SQL to be able to independently query the database and perform data analysis

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 yrs of experience in business analysis, process mapping and process improvement,
  • Exposure to various SDLC models (Waterfall, Agile etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, under tight timelines while maintaining high accuracy and output
  • Solution-oriented and proactive with confidence to make decisions that impact the success of assigned work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple teams at various levels
  • Expertise in business process management from ideation to implementation
  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including high proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint and modern software solutions
  • Knowledge of SQL querying is required, and exposure to Python will be an advantage
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment
