Job Description

GENERAL SCOPE & SUMMARY

The Associate Engineer, QA is a team member for the development of tests for a specific product component. In this position, the Associate Engineer, QA works with more Principal and Higher level QA Engineers for direction and task assignments. Reviews test cases and plans with other QA members. May execute existing automated test scripts.

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tests software products through the use of systematic procedures to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
Modifies, and executes software test plans.
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Responsible for participating in the evolution and execution of procedures for ensuring the quality of new features and releases of software.
Isolates, reproduces and tracks bugs and verifies fixes.
Executes test plans for manual and/or automated tests

Qualifications

Novice level knowledge of engineering tools, methods and processes.

AI Engineer is a new requirement to improve efficiency of our current AI results. You will be part of a team helping chart our future AI strategy and define the problems we are solving with AI. You will help build our AI development and production infrastructure and set our technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the business problem, challenge of existing technologies and areas of application for AI technologies.
Identify and choose right AI or cognitive computing technologies for solving problems and formulate AI recipes for development.
Develop required machine learning models or prototype applications applying formulated AI recipes and verify the problem/solution fit.
Involve in development of AI Platform and production infrastructure
Help AI team and business stakeholders understand the potential and limitations of AI when planning new products.
Formulate, implement, and validate applications of machine learning into in-house tools.
Deploy AI models into production.
Work with a team of developers and testers in a highly agile environment to produce high quality software.
Keeping up to date with emerging technologies (AI, ML) and developments trends in our business domain Should be able to plan and implement change management for short and long-term strategies such as retiring legacy systems, migrating to new systems without impacting productivity.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

At least 3 years’ hands-on development experience using Python languages
Experience in building API driven interface development
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages with a strong foundation in statistical platforms
Experience building AI models
Experience in designing and developing products, tools or test automation frameworks Python technologies.
Experience of developing tools using AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning is required
Experience in designing and implementing systems using emerging technology
Demonstrated commitment to learning about AI through your own initiatives through courses, books, or side projects

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Linux GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) or GO Compiler (golang), Open Source developer you will gain experience in developing, optimizing and tuning code to a specified Hardware Architecture.

This role requires expertise with the POWER instruction architecture, the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) compiler or the golang compiler, GNU Library for C (GLIBC), and Binary Utilities (assembler/loader). Familiarity with software builds, bring-up, test and performance analysis tools used by Linux on Power is desirable along with general hardware skills. Applicant will be engaged in performance analysis and tuning utilizing the POWER instruction profiling tools. Candidates must have the ability to work in a team based environment with global and remote team members.
Candidate should have experience with C/C++, scripting languages, assembler, familiarity with Bugzilla, open source development tools, simulation tools, performance analysis tools and working with mailing lists.

As a GCC or Go Compiler developer you will do

Open Source development, optimisation and tuning code to a specified Hardware Architecture analysis
Ensure that features are accepted upstream and incorporated into the appropriate Linux distributions.
In addition to design and development work resolve issues and defects including problem determination, problem recreation, providing fixes, validating fixes and getting fixes accepted by the Community.
Assist resolving customer critical situations and lead proof of concepts and provide technical guidance and consulting for pre-sales and post sales engagements.
Work with internal teams and with the Open Source Community for defining, designing, developing and testing Linux on Power specific features in the GCC or golang compiler and libraries.
Build skills in POWER instruction architecture, the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) compiler or the golang compiler, GNU Library for C (GLIBC), and Binary Utilities (assembler/loader)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1-3 years of overall IT experience
Must haveexperience with C/C++, scripting languages, assembler, familiarity with Bugzilla, open source development tools, simulation tools, performance analysis tools and working with mailing lists.
Experience in pen source development
Experience in debugging compilers, library issue
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Good to have expertise in the POWER instruction architecture
