Introduction

As a technical writer in the IBM Cloud Pak content development you’ll be in a fast paced role, responsible for designing and developing customer documentation and content for the Cloud Paks product portfolio.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a writer on the IBM Cloud Pak content development team, you will be responsible for developing customer documentation. You will collaborate with a diverse group of developers, designers, and testers in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; coordinating your workload with the wider team but working independently. In this role, you will need to quickly gain a sound theoretical and practical understanding of the technical details and produce documentation that delights our customers. You will also advise the development team on style and language use within the product.

• Writing, curating, and editing content for accuracy, clarity, and usability.
• Modeling and formatting content into viable, feasible, and desirable solutions.
• Professional quality writing and communication skills
• Researching and studying a subject and its context to inform content.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience working in an agile, squad-based, continuous delivery development model.
• Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to a dynamic, team based environment.”

Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

• Work as part of an agile software development team
• Translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Assess requirements for completeness and accuracy and work with requirement providers to close issues and gaps.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Software Developer

• Java, Javascript, and Python
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Database technologies – DB2, SQL, NoSQL; Data warehousing
• Business Intelligence visualization and/or reporting tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Develop reports utilizing advanced data visualization techniques and related SQL with overall responsibility for implementation and support.
• Write SQL to explore source data, data issues, etc. Identify impact on existing model/ solution triggered by new/changed requirements.

Data Modeler

• Develops strategies for integration of data from multiple data sources / data warehouses. Establishes data models and standards that facilitate data integration of large and diverse data stores, and evaluate data sources, assess quality and determine integration approach. Writes SQL to explore source data, data issues, etc.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Our technology stack includes cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, analytics engines such as Spark, both relational and NoSQL databases, a variety of AI and Machine Learning technologies, and a CI/CD tool chain including tools such as Helm, Travis, Jenkins and Artifactory. Knowledge of any of these would be a plus.

• Quality automation, performance analysise.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Gatling, JMeter.
