Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree and 2+ years of related work experience
  • Proficiency with one or multiple solutions, including Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Experience using T-SQL scripts (stored procedures, views, functions etc.) to manipulate data and simplify access to data
  • Experience with data modelling (normalized and de-normalized data models), understanding of the appropriate purpose for each
  • Experience with one or multiple reporting tools, such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, etc., for data modelling and creating visualizations
  • Understanding of data lineage, with the ability to track data from source through reporting for accelerated troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external resources at all organizational levels
  • Project management, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Experience dealing with solving complex business challenges
  • Technical and business acumen and ability to speak about technology in the language of business
  • Ability to work in the Hyderabad, India office at least twice a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing common source systems and front-end tools that produce data (i.e. NetSuite, Salesforce, Dynamics)
  • Experience with or expertise in responding to requests for proposal documents (RFP)
  • Experience presenting findings, solutions, and/or deliverables to clients, internally, and additional audiences
  • Professional certifications in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, SnowPro Core) and/or big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools

Position Responsibilities

As an Associate within RSM’s DDS Data & Analytics practice, you will work with various sized clients and receive hands-on client experience and you will be responsible for providing the highest level of operational support to RSM clients. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile for the team’s success. They will be a problem solver, good communicator, creative thinker, fast learner, be detail-oriented, and interested in learning their clients’ business. You will be responsible for working with the Data & Analytics practice in the US to serve clients, by:

As a member of the growing Data Science and Machine Learning (ML) Engineering team in Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group, you will:
  • Develop, deploy and support industry-leading machine learning solutions, aimed at solving client problems across industry verticals and business functions
  • Provide thought championing in state-of-the-art machine-learning techniques
  • Collaborate closely with and influence business consulting staff and leaders as part of multi-disciplinary teams to assess opportunities and develop data-driven solutions for Bain clients across a variety of sectors

ABOUT YOU

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, etc.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, analytics development or machine learning engineering experience

Our data scientists work closely with cross-functional teams to ship end-to-end data products, from formulating the business problem in mathematical/ML terms to iterating on ML/DL methods to taking them to production. We own or co-own several initiatives with a direct line of sight to impact on customer experience as well as business metrics. We also encourage open sharing of ideas and publishing in internal and external avenues.

About the Ads Monetization Team

This team is responsible for building and optimizing ML solutions for the full lifecycle of ads across both Food and Instamart Business lines, everything from sourcing the right set of ads to pricing them to targeting them via personalized and multi-objective-optimized user-response models. Ads being one of the highest throughput and lowest latency systems at Swiggy, we are also maniacally focused about delivering pragmatic and scalable solutions. 

What you will do

  • You will leverage your strong ML/DL/Statistics background to build new and next generation of ML based solutions to improve the quality of ads recommendation and leverage various optimization techniques to improve the campaign performance.
  • You will mine and extract relevant information from Swiggy’s massive historical data to help ideate and identify solutions to business and CX problems.
  • You will work closely with engineers/PMs/analysts on detailed requirements, technical designs, and implementation of end-to-end inference solutions at Swiggy scale.
  • You will stay abreast with the latest in ML research for Ads Bidding algorithms, Recommendation Systems related areas and help adapt it to Swiggy’s problem statements.
  • You will publish and talk about your work in internal and external forums to both technical and layman audiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field with 0-2  years of industry/research lab experience
  • Required: Excellent problem solving skills, ability to deconstruct and formulate solutions from first-principles
  • Required: Depth and hands-on experience in applying ML/DL, statistical techniques to business problems
  • Preferred: Experience working with big data and shipping ML/DL models to production
  • Required: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Tensorflow
  • Required: Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Big plus: Experience in the space of ecommerce and logistics.
