• Works with engineering management, project engineering, design engineers to create accurate 2D drawings, assembly drawings or illustrations that are neat and well laid out.
• The drawings will contain all the necessary information to produce a quality part.
• Major and critical dimensioning will be used when applicable and correct tolerance and cost will be considered when detailing.
• Details will follow established methods and be accomplished in a timely manner.
• Efficient usage of CAD and computer systems.
• Understands the tools, procedures, methods, and available software to perform the job responsibilities.
• Checks manufacturing and sales drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintains flexibility and cooperation in completion of all miscellaneous tasks
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. ·

Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products
• Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
• Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work
• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
• Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget

Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
• 1 year of experience working in engineering
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience desiging mechanical systems and products
• Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
