PATH is currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for its Information Technology (IT) team. The IT Department works with business partners worldwide to solve information technology challenges, improve efficiencies, and meet strategic goals. The department is responsible for all software application services, network infrastructure, computer support, IT vendor management, and program and project management for PATH’s IT initiatives.
The Business Systems Analyst coordinates IT projects and system enhancements, acting as liaison between business partners and IT technical staff. The BSA is responsible for analyzing and documenting current business processes, recommending process improvements, and detailing the user stories, business process models, and functional requirements needed to ensure that the technology solutions delivered meet the needs of the business. We are seeking an early career professional with business systems analysis experience wanting to grow their skills, contribute new ideas to the team, and take on new projects identified by the IT Strategy Council.
Responsibilities
Business Systems Analysis

Collaborate with business owners to facilitate definition of business requirements and set appropriate expectations.

Assist business unit stakeholders with framing requests and defining requirements using a variety of business systems analysis and analytical tools, modeling techniques and methodologies to meet business objectives, including (but not limited to): interviews, workshops, surveys, business process modeling, user stories, use-cases, business and workflow analysis, gap analysis, functional specifications, and system design specifications.

Analyze and recommend potential solutions to IT leadership for business problem statements.

Coordinate, present, and/or participate in business and technical reviews of the requirements deliverables, prototypes and application pre-releases.

Coordinate user acceptance testing with business partners.

Contribute to the technical roadmap as defined by the and technical staff, making configuration and ecosystem recommendations.

Aid business partners responsible for the definition of user guides and release training.

Identify technical challenges and consult with IT technical staff to resolve them.
Project Management

Build strong relationships within PATH to understand the business challenges and opportunities.

Create a collaborative partnership among project stakeholders and effectively communicate project status to all stakeholders.

Process intake and coordinate small requests, consulting with IT Portfolio Manager to understand organizational priorities.

Coordinate IT implementation from beginning to completion.

Assist with determination of project scope, partnering closely with IT Leadership, business leaders and development staff to evaluate feasibility.

Work with business units to ensure they are ready to engage, have committed resources, and are aligned with IT on design before development begins.
Required Skills
Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field plus a minimum of two years of experience in business and systems analysis required; an equivalent combination of experience will be considered.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.

Experience driving the end-to-end lifecycle, from conception to launch as well as post-launch support.

Track record of streamlining systems and processes.

Process analysis and modeling skills.

Willingness to adapt to and take on new opportunities as they arise.

Organizational and time management skills to move technical implementation from beginning to completion.

Recognize business issues and decision conflicts, and coordinate resolution with escalation when appropriate.

Proficiency with O365 Microsoft Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $78,840-$132,132 the final salary is based on a variety of objective factors.

Hybrid work
PATH operates within a hybrid workplace model unless otherwise noted. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are located in Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C.
