Job Description Summary: Global Data Science team is looking for experienced Technical Product Manager for our Consumer ML team with passion to solve complex problems to drive better Consumer Product & Marketing experience. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution in partnership with cross-functional teams. This will involve setting the course for your own team’s ML scientists as well as influencing across PayPal Product & Marketing Organization to make sure we ideate, build & integrate AI/ML into Consumer Lifecycle to enhance user experience and drive significant impact through personalization.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teams to define the multi-year roadmap to define product strategy and build state-of-the-art Machine Learning solutions.

Manage end-to-end execution and identify new opportunities, influence partners, and build strategy to best integrate AI/ML into Consumer’s Product & Marketing Lifecycle to drive significant impact to key business metrics across all markets. Drive personalization strategies for a significant portfolio of consumer products in PayPal.

Your day to day

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Lead business and technical discussion to understand business needs and formulate solution design and implementation.
• Capture key product & marketing requirements, define solution approach and develop high level design document.
• Manage expectations within and across teams by effectively prioritizing resources, negotiate on product/project needs.
• Industry research to learn new developments in the market. Collaborate and influence stakeholders in developing term ML based product strategy.
• Expertise in SQL, hands on with data analysis to develop insights to drive adoption.
• Good understanding of Data Analytics, Big Data Platform and Machine Learning algorithms.
• Good understanding of experimentation, tracking, measurement, ability to define and launch product & marketing campaign in partnership with marketers.
• Monitor KPI metrics to measure performance and report on overall health of the deliverables to leadership.
• Drive initiatives with Data Engineering to build data-marts necessary for future growth of ML solutions in the domain.

What do you need to bring

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Product Management, Analytics, Engineering etc.) with 10+ yrs. of relevant industry experience or MBA/MS with 8+ yrs. of relevant experience.
• Familiar with one or more query languages such as SQL, Big Query, Hive etc.
• Familiarity in machine learning and its applications.
• GCP/Hadoop and big data experience – an advantage
• Experience leading ML projects and great track record delivering solutions with attention to detail and end to end execution.
• Experience in leading Data Mart build efforts that facilitates and fuels ML solutions.
• Leverage indirect influence with stakeholders and others in the organization to drive change
• Fluent spoken and written English communication with business and engineering partners to exchange requirements, explain solution methodologies, and influence with insights
