Job Description

What We Do: The Sales Operations team is a crucial part of the Revenue Org. We help our sales teams drive revenue more efficiently through streamlined processes and clear data. We are growing in order to more proactively lead improvements within the organization.

What You Do: The Manager of Revenue Analytics will work closely with executive leadership to provide timely, data-informed insights that drive value-based decisions. This is a hands-on role, with one direct report, in which you and your team will own the stack of regular reporting metrics as well as generate new, strategic analysis of the business in conjunction with leadership.

Day-in-the-Life: As the Manager of Revenue Analytics, a typical day may include the following…

  • Developing new dashboards and visualizations to highlight opportunities and risks for the Sales teams

  • Providing feedback to team members to support their career growth

  • Working with cross-functional partners to develop broader views of the entire customer lifecycle from lead to renewal.

  • Preparing quarterly business reviews and coordinating with sales leaders for commentary

First Year in Role:

  • Month 3: You will have developed a solid understanding of our existing metrics, reports, and dashboards, and are beginning to build tools to address known gaps. You will have established relationships with key leaders and teams in the organization.

  • Month 6: You will be conducting analysis and developing insights about the revenue organization, and will have established a framework for scalable, self-service reports for sales and interdepartmental partners.

  • Month 12: You will fully own executive reporting and business intelligence analysis regarding new sales. You will be proactively defining metrics in support of our strategic goals and closely working with Sales leaders and supporting teams to develop meaningful insights through data.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of reporting and analytics experience, preferably within a revenue function

  • 2+ years coaching direct reports in analyst roles

  • Experience with large datasets, data warehouses, and business intelligence and reporting tools

Skills:

  • Strong data query, analysis, and visualization skills

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively, balancing urgent ad hoc requests with longer term strategic projects

  • Proven experience with BI tools (Tableau) and SQL, especially with a data warehouse (Snowflake)

  • An eye towards self-service, real-time capabilities across the business

  • Comfortable in a fast paced dynamic structure with a strong desire to grow along with the company

  • Demonstrable ability to build effective partnerships with business owners and technical partners

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and effectively communicate solutions

  • Snowflake, or similar data warehouse

Additional Information

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $105,400 – $168,200 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 15%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
