Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hyperion Analyst to work within Pearson.
We are looking for a Hyperion Analyst skilled in interacting with finance stakeholders and
transforming business requirements into designs that drive high-quality Hyperion technical solutions.
Our Oracle Development team is responsible for delivery across the Oracle ERP and EPM landscapes. Pearson Hyperion developers work across applications and platforms to deliver fully integrated Oracle solutions which maximize application features and drive performance success.
You will be responsible for application updates and monthly application maintenance. Successful candidates will be self-starter, independent critical thinkers who are focused and passionate about
delivering unparalleled service to our business customers.
Qualifications – Internal
• Provide maintenance, development and support of live production applications including HFM, Planning,
Essbase and FDMEE as well as Hyperion reporting tools
• Participate in requirements and design workshops to understand business process
requirements and directly support key business stakeholders
• Triage and resolve user support issues
• Create and maintain system documentation including business processes and new requirements as well
as monthly support and maintenance procedures
• Participate in Agile ceremonies required for support delivery
• Commit to increasing skills across the Oracle EPM landscape and outside core proficiencies
• Collaborate with offshore team members and business customers globally
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Experience across the Hyperion product suite with knowledge of HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDMEE and
HFR
• Degree in finance, computer science, technology, or related field
• General understanding of financial statement, statutory and other industry reporting
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as an Oracle EPM Hyperion Developer
• Oracle Certification is a plus
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and master unfamiliar concepts quickly with little supervision
• Collaborate effectively with business clients and team members virtually
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Familiarity with IT Ticketing systems
