Overview:
This position would be in the Supply Chain team which is a part of the GBS Supply Chain Modeling team. The GBS Supply Chain Modeling team’s primary responsibilities include:
- 1) Demand Planning Modeling. maintain and improve statistical forecast that serves as a base forecast to the markets to adjust to a Total Forecast that will then be the demand plan for the organization.
- 2) DPP Modeling. maintain, troubleshoot and assure MPS algorithm runs are robust to create the Daily Production Plan for +130 plants.
- 3) IO Modeling. Maintain, adjust and publish safety stock calculations that will support the business to improve service levels by compensating variability in the supply chain.
4) GTMS Team. Implementation, sustain and continuous improvement of the BY gTMS solution, work on projects to make enable productivity to the Sectors by optimal use of the solution.
Responsibilities:
- Support the weekly demand forecasting processes, such as maintaining and creating reporting and analytics that will help the demand modelers make adjustments to the models parameters or bring insights to the markets for action.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects for improving forecasting solutions by applying innovative ideas, latest techniques, and algorithms.
- Support with reporting and analytics for the weekly activities done by the DPP modelers, such as number of tickets/request received and delivered, and time it took for each of them.
- Support with GTMS reporting and analytics for the sectors, such as productivity reporting, truck utilization reporting, cost saving opportunity reporting etc.
- Build executive presentations to provide a weekly status to the SC Modeling Director
Build reports/dashboards that will support making faster and better decisions within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business analytics, statistics, economics, engineering, or computer science.
- A minimum of 1-3 years with a bachelor’s degree in developing and implementing business analytics applications is required. Prior work experience must include 1 year of experience in the following areas
- Statistical modeling and programming using BY, SAS, R or Python, preferably for demand forecasting.
- Working with large volumes of data and proficiency in writing SQL queries on relational databases like Teradata, Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server.
- UNIX, Perl scripting, shell scripting, and VBA macros on Excel
- Creating insights and visualization using Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Excel/VBA.
- Researching data and processes to identify root causes of supply chain issues such as low products supply, low sales, irregular promotions effects, seasonal changes in sales
- Working with IT support teams on projects such as the technical implementation of supply chain tools and upgrading and supporting systems and software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into IT requirements.
Ability to communicate statistical analysis into the nontechnical business language to demand planners and managers.
