Logistics:
Shift: The position is primarily a 1st shift position with some flexibility (9.00 to 5.00, 8.00 to 4.00, etc) based on the needs of business and synchronization with 3PL and client resources.
Occasional need for altering shifts may be required to perform audit work outside of 3PL production shift.
Must Have Skills (Most Important):
- Ability to work independently and remotely from the management team while maintaining a trusted relationship with co-located 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) vendor
- Understand 3PL Work Instructions and create or execute audit processes to verify the correct and thorough application of those instructions
- Ability to identify continuous improvement activities and eliminate non-value-added activities through Gemba Walks
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to communicate at varying levels from first-level operations to management teams.
- Good Negotiation and Interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and Applications. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing or warehousing processes
- Previous telecommunications and/or Cable television background
- Project and/or Operational management experience
- Experience with SAP
Job Duties:
- Work as an onsite liaison between client Global Supply Chain Reverse Logistics personnel responsible for the recovery or re-use of returned client Fios Router and Video Settop box products and all accessories and 3PL responsible for day-to-day operations.
- Comprehend 3PL Work Instructions and conduct process audits to verify operations are in line with work instructions
- Assist with documenting Clean and Screen (CnS) and CnS Process Change processes for client
- Review 3PL product quality against published Cosmetic and Scrap standards
- Measure the performance of 3PL operations against KPIs
- Identify continuous improvement activities and eliminate non-value-added activities
- Onsite contact for escalations and act as liaison to larger Clean and Screen team
- Responsible to work along with third-party logistics vendor (3PL), who manages day-to-day operations and help hold them accountable for performance and quality
- Participate in regular Quality, Ops, and Continuous Improvement calls with client and 3PL
Education or Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
- Project Management certification preferred
